By default it is L3 (push the left joystick into the controller, yes, push it down). I think this is very annoying personally as I would constantly accidentally activate it in the minigame days so I would suggest changing it and maybe making L3 a sprint button or just disabling it outright, just preference. Pressing this button will cycle you through 3 POVs, so just keep pressing it until you get it how he likes it (first person in this case). If this button doesn't work go to Settings > Controller and see what it says it is set to and change it if wanted. If it is unbound (not set to anything) set it to something.
hello everybody welcome back to another video and today I'm gonna be playing Minecraft it's been a little while but I'm finally back with it um and basically today I'm gonna show you how to get into third-person view oh okay without a fail Oh what did I just do that for okay so basically I'm gonna show you how you're supposed to do that this is on the latest version of Minecraft also so you click like after you're in the game click the pause button up here go to click settings then go to the video then click count for perspective and now third person back in there is also first person I want to show you this one I'm pretty sure everyone knows the first person this one is my favorite I like this better than the first person which is cool to look at myself because I liked how my skin The first point of view would be the default one: First-person. Beyond being the most commonly used point of view that players use in-game it also allows you to see items up close and personal the most efficiently. With this view, everything is much more up close and personal, but it’s limited to only what you can see through this narrow view. This leads us to the second point of view which would be the third person. With the third person, you can see not only your character but also some of the space around them. In this view, you can also be much more skilled at fending off multiple enemies at once without running too much of a risk of being surrounded. The drawback of this point of view is that you won’t be nearly as precise when it comes to attacks or for mining as you would be in the first person. The final view is the reverse Third person view. You still have a solid view of the character from this perspective, but you will find it lacking in the pragmatic area of your views. Since you will only be able to see what is behind you, you cannot and will not be able to see what is in front of you, making traveling like this a difficult prospect. This view is mainly used for two purposes. One: for instructional videos or for pictures. This view can allow you to place your character where there is a unique subject matter or backdrop behind them to talk about, or if you just want people to see what your character looks like from their front. The other use is if you are running away from a situation and want to see if what you are running away from is far enough away from you.
