Stone Blocks

Smooth Stone

This is the standard stone that most of the Minecraft world is made out of. When you mine it, it will turn into cobblestone. You can bake cobblestone in a furnace to turn it back into smooth stone.

Cobblestone

This is the first stone you’ll be able to build with and since it’s what you get when you break a block of regular stone, you’ll have plenty of this stuff to work with.

However, it’s pretty ugly unless you’re using a custom texture-pack. Bake it in a furnace to make smooth stone (you get XP for this!) and then you can make Stone Bricks which are much more attractive.

Mossy Cobblestone is found in a few places including underground dungeons, jungle temples, but you can also craft it from cobblestone and vines.

Sandstone

This block is naturally occurring in the desert, and can also be made by combining 4 blocks of sand. You will also find sandstone underneath the ocean, so if you’re exploring some caves and come across a lot of sandstone, it’s a good sign that digging away a few blocks will bring you to the seabed.

Red Sandstone

There is also a red variant of Sandstone that can be found in Mesa biomes. Red sandstone can be made from Red Sand and crafted in all the same ways as normal sandstone.

FUT Champions is FIFA 23’s most competitive Ultimate Team mode as top players look to battle it out for the game’s most valuable prizes. Here’s a breakdown of the FUT Champions format and the rewards up for grabs.

Players looking to build the best FIFA 23 Ultimate Team squads will want to test their skills by exploring the FUT Champions mode.

This year, players will earn more rewards than ever by playing Squad Battles, FUT Moments, and Division Rivals. However, the best rewards await players brave enough to take on FUT Champions in FIFA 23.

Let’s take a look at the FUT Champions format and the rewards for each rank in FIFA 23.

FIFA 23 FUT Champions format explained

While we currently don’t know the exact format for FUT Champions in FIFA 23, we can use FIFA 22’s format to explain what to expect. Given that EA made major changes to the format in FIFA 22, they’re unlikely to deliver drastic alterations to FUT Champions in FIFA 23.

EA decided to alter the format, ranks, and rewards after the release of FIFA 22, but we’ll base our estimation on the format at the start of FIFA 22.

Champions Play-Offs

FUT Champions is split into two competitions: Champions Play-Offs and Champions Finals. Champions Play-Offs are essentially qualification matches that players must complete to access Champions Finals, which is the core FUT Champions competition.

However, before you can access Champions Play-Offs matches, you must play Division Rivals to earn Champions qualification points.

After earning enough points playing Division Rivals, you will automatically be entered into Play-Offs. From this stage, you need 24 points to qualify for Champions Finals. Each Champions Play-Offs win will earn you four points, while a loss will result in one point.

In FIFA 22, players had ten matches to earn 24 points to qualify for Champions Finals. After reaching this milestone you’ll earn a Finals Qualification Token, which can be redeemed straight away, or saved for another weekend, as well as rewards for completing the Play-Offs stage.

Champions Finals

Champions Finals is where the real grind begins. This competition takes place throughout the weekend from Friday morning to Monday morning. Players will have 20 matches to earn as many points as possible with four points being rewarded for a win and one for a loss.

After the 20 matches, each player will be placed in one of six ranks, which will determine the quality of your FUT Champions rewards.

We’re expecting FIFA 23 to follow FIFA 22’s rule of being able to redeem rewards after all 20 matches are complete or once the Champions Finals event comes to an end.

Once we get our hands on FIFA 23, we’ll make sure to update this section with the exact details concerning the number of matches, and points players need to qualify for FUT Champions. For the time being, the process should look something like this:

  1. Play Division Rivals to earn Champions Qualification Points
  2. Once the required number of points are earned, you’ll automatically be entered into Play-Offs
  3. Play Play-Offs matches to earn enough points to qualify for Champions Finals
  4. Play all of your Champions Finals matches to earn the maximum amount of points
  5. Redeem FUT Champions rewards based on your rank
