FAQ

Please note that all updates below are subject to change to reflect the state’s health guidelines throughout the year.

  • We are excited to share that next year we are planning to return to our traditional instructional model, where our students will learn inside our schools five days a week, following the school calendar for the 2021-2022 school year that has been approved by the Adams 14 Board of Education.

  • Now! Registration for next year opened in March, and as a reminder, our registration process is completely online.

It is critical that all new and returning students complete the registration process as soon as possible.

    Returning Students
Please visit the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. Parents can access their parent portal by going to the Adams 14 webpage and clicking on the “Families and Students” tab and then clicking on “Infinite Campus”  and “Log in as a parent.” Once logged in, click on:

    1. More > Online Registration > Existing Student

If you do not remember your password, please click “forgot my password” to reset it or contact Student Records at 303-853-3238.

    New Students
Please visit the portal to Adams 14’s online registration page and follow the below steps:

    1. Select your preferred language
      1. Click on “Start new registration”
      2. Enter requested parent/guardian information
    • Once you submit your personal information and click on “Begin Registration’on the bottom left-hand corner, you will be given an application number. Save this number in case you need to refer to the application to make any changes.
    1. Upload student’s birth certificate, immunization records, proof of address, and parent ID. If you do not wish to upload these documents, you may email them to or contact your child’s school to request an appointment to provide those documents to the front office in person.

If you have a preschool student, please call Child Find at 303-853-5680 for a screening and registration appointment.

  • Over the past school year, we have followed the guidance and mandates outlined by our state and local health officials (e.g., Tri-County Health Department). Next year, we will once again follow these guidelines. However, due to the state’s success in providing COVID-19 vaccinations, it is likely that we will soon receive revised recommendations regarding masks, exposure considerations, and quarantine timelines. The district will communicate these updates as soon as guidelines become available for the 2021-2022 school year.

  • When it comes to school food service next year, the Adams 14 Nutrition Services Team will return to the standard meal distribution model where breakfast and lunch is offered in cafeterias five days a week at all school sites. The mobile food distribution sites that were available during the 2020-2021 school year will no longer be available.

  • Bus transportation routes will run similar to before the COVID-19 pandemic. Postcards with bus stop information will be mailed to families after the registration process is complete. Please make sure to update your address and contact information during registration. Specialized transportation for students with disabilities will follow normal protocols through the individualized educational program or IEP process. Schools eligible for transportation services include:

    • Adams City High School
    • Adams City Middle School
    • Kearney Middle School
    • Alsup Elementary School
    • Dupont Elementary School
    • Monaco Elementary School

  • We are thrilled that all students will continue to use an assigned technology device (Chromebooks for grades two through 12 and iPads for preschool through first grade) next school year.

    Returning students

    • After completing the registration process, all returning students should keep their current iPad or Chromebook until next year, which they will continue to use throughout the 2021-2022 school year.
    • Software updates will be done remotely, which means parents and guardians will not need to do anything from home.

    Students entering second grade

    • If you have a child who will be entering second grade next year, they will need to exchange their iPad for a Chromebook in August when the students return to school. Please note, this will occur during the school day at each student’s school. No other action is required of parents and guardians.

    Students with a broken device

    • If your child has a broken device, you can replace the device at your child’s school, or visit the ESS building to exchange your child’s device by Friday, May 28.
    • The ESS building is open Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., for device exchanges.

    Students graduating this year

    • Adams City HIgh School and Lester Arnold High School graduates can return their device during senior checkout when they receive their diploma, or parents/guardians are welcome to return the device to the ESS building by Friday, May 28.

    Students leaving the district

    • If your child is leaving Adams 14, we are very sorry to see you go.
    • Please make sure to return the device to your student’s school before the last day of classes, or visit the ESS building to return your child’s device by Friday, May 28.

  • In addition to the Adams 14 health team, which is comprised of highly trained professional school nurses and school health clerks, Adams 14 will continue to host (in partnership with Kids First Health Care) school-based health clinics at Adams City Middle School, Kearney Middle School, Adams City High School, and Lester Arnold High School. Please contact Kids First Health Care if you need assistance with signing up for health benefits.

Adams 14 will once again be conducting hearing and vision screenings to ensure that our students can access their instruction, and we will continue our partnership with Salud Family Health Centers for dental screenings. Please look for more information on how you can register your student for dental screenings throughout the summer.

  • The Adams 14 Mental Health Team will be increasing its staff to include 24 school counselors, school social workers, and school psychologists, in addition to the school-based therapists available to any student in need of extra support.

We are excited to share that after a year of virtual services, our school-based therapists will once again be available in person and embedded in our schools for ease of access. For the second year in a row, we will be utilizing our Social Emotional Learning Curriculum, ReThink Ed, at all grade levels.

  • We are pleased to share that we will be able to welcome our parent volunteers back inside our buildings at a limited capacity. We ask that each volunteer complete a volunteer application, which can be found on our website on the Human Resources webpage.

  • Yes! We are excited to be able to offer school field trips once again during the 2021-2022 school year. Parents/guardians can expect permission slips, which includes information about the field trip, to be sent home at least four weeks in advance of the trip.

  • School-based meetings (based on state and local health guidelines) will also return to in-person next year. Some of these meetings include Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO), School Accountability Committee (SAC), and coffee with the principal.

  • Adams 14 plans to resume all before and after-school activities, clubs, and athletics in Adams 14 during the 2021-2022 school year.

  • Online programming will be offered on a smaller scale than what was offered this year in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Adams 14 believes, and research supports, that our learners thrive best in an in-person classroom environment, specifically our students in grades preschool through fifth. To that end, the Adams 14 Online program will only service 300 students in grades six through 12 for the 2021-22 school year.

Students will engage in learning virtually with a certified teacher, in partnership with Colorado Digital Learning Solutions, which is an approved program from the Colorado Department of Education (CDE).  Spaces will be limited to 300 students in grades six through 12 only.  Students will participate virtually in elective programming such as music, art, and physical education.

Specialized programming, such as bilingual programming, as well as some special education services will be available for in-person learning only. In addition, meal services for remote students will be provided by students’ families. Please look for more information on our district website in late June regarding enrollment in Adams 14 Online.
