Cant Add Shortcuts On Steam

i just baught all the Command and Conquer games through origin...i also have the sims 3 from awhile back, but when ever i go through them to add the shortcuts to steam, i can only add the sims3, and none of the CnC games...WHY!

Try adding the actual .exe file and not a shortcut of a shortcut.

ok, i found out how to do this with ORIGIN games installed through there downloader

1: add a game
2: add non-steam game
3: Browse
4: Computer
5: Program Files (x86)
6: Origin Games
7: click the games folder
8: click Launcher/Game which ever one is there
9: Rename it to the Games title
10: PLAY!

Thanks man. I was trying to add the Uplay game, Rayman Origins to steam, but kept getting 'catastrophic failure' error message.
This solution worked for me ;)

This thread is from 2013, by the way.

That aside, I generally use the Uplay's launcher + the browser protocol as the launch argument.

Here's what I mean,

You can find out the game's Uplay APP-ID (720 for AC:U) by making a shortcut, right mouse clicking it > Properties. And seeing what the URL is.
