Allies of skin peptides and antioxidants Reddit

Was contemplating buying the Allies of Skin Peptides & Antioxidants Firming Daily Treatment but just wanted to double check the vitamin C percentage in the product before I bought it but couldn’t find it anywhere on the site or online so I just DMed their page on instagram. This was the response (which came a couple days after I sent the message)… I can’t be the only one who finds this even just a tad bit shady? Has anyone else had a similar experience with the brand or am I just being overly picky/paranoid? Instagram Message

I actually bought their entire range so if you have any product specific questions let me know!

I am quite impressed by it, every product works so well with each other and after a few days I saw improvements to my skin and coming from me that's saying a lot because I have tried over 60+ brands lol The firming moisturizer did indeed make my skin firmer. Alone, it is not moisturizing enough for me, but with the HA serum it is more than enough.

The Mandelic serum is my favorite.

But, with skincare, it's one of those things where it may work for some and not others, etc.

But, I think it's def worth a try!

MOLECULAR SILK AMINO HYDRATING CLEANSER - this feels SOOO luxurious and my skin feels plump after using this. for comparison, my go to cleansers are fresh soy cleanser and glossier milky jelly as i'm on a look out for gentle cleansers. will definitely repurchase.

MULTI NUTRIENT & DIOIC RENEWING CREAM - bought this cos i was looking for a day moisturiser. didnt feel like this did much for me, experienced piling with this so will save this for night time.

PEPTIDES & ANTIOXIDANTS FIRMING DAILY TREATMENT - got a sample of this. def prefer this over the multi nutrient cream. wish i had got this instead! feel like my skin is firmer after using this.

PROMISE KEEPER BLEMISH SLEEPING FACIAL - got a sample of this. feel that my face is brighter the morning after. would like to repurchase but at this price point, i might stick to prescription retinol.

1A™ RETINAL & PEPTIDES OVERNIGHT MASK - finished the whole tube of an earlier edition called pollution repair. the effect i get is quite similar to the promise keeper sleeping facial. a lovely over night mask.

35% VITAMIN C+ PERFECTING SERUM - surprised with the oil texture, no irritation on skin unlike some other vit C products i've tried. almost immediate brightening effect, cant wait to finish this bottle!

for reference, my skin is super dehydrated yet oily. clogged pores with (rapidly) increasing fine lines.

Allies of Skin is a Singaporean brand that was new to me. They had a great month-long Black Friday sale with BOGOF and various freebies / additional discounts each week. Apart from the Vitamin C serum, I got everything from the online store in two separate orders. The HA serum, PSA Fearless oil and PSA Light Up mask were freebies. Not photographed but also got a silver pouch with each order.

TLDR: Overall impressed with the products which I think are well formulated. They are pricey so will only order in future on sale.

On ordering from the AoS online store: I'm in Australia and ordered from the Singaporean site. The prices without discounts are higher than from other stockists (e.g. SpaceNK). Shipping is exxy for some APAC countries like Australia ($40 SGD) and free shipping threshold is high ($350 SGD). One of my orders I paid shipping for but had an additional 15% off code so that covered it at least. My first order shipped quickly but my second was delayed due to stock issues. Customer Service responded quickly. I got 5 sample sachets in my first order but not my second 😂

Products I've been using:

35% Vitamin C+ Perfecting Serum

  • 25% ethylated L-ascorbic acid and 10% tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate serum. Has a very light, oily texture but sinks in beautifully on damp skin. It's thinner than their 20% serum (had sample). Hasn't oxidised on my skin. Not available to purchase from the AoS site to Australia so I got this from Revolve with 20% off coupon. WRP.

Molecular Barrier Recovery Cream Balm

  • Pretty light texture for a cream balm. It does seem to help soothe flaky skin. I already have a HG (non-AB) heavy moisturiser / occlusive though. MRP.

Multi Hyaluronic Antioxidant Hydration Serum

  • Thicker HA serum. Hasn't wowed me and IME thicker hydrating serums tend to cause product pilling. I do like to be able to just slap my skincare on quickly rather than having to wait for each step to sink in so the pilling is less of an issue if I take my time. WNRP.

Peptides & Antioxidants Firming Daily Treatment

  • Lovely lightweight moisturiser. Light orange tint doesn't show on skin. Now that it's summer it's a bit too emollient for my oily skin during the day. MRP.

Prebiotics & Niacinamide Pore Refining Booster

  • 10% niacinamide. Nice, watery serum that's not thick / chalky like other niacinamide serums that I've tried. WRP.

Promise Keeper Blemish Sleeping Facial

  • This has a couple of AHAs (mandolin, lactic) fairly low down the ingredients list. Hasn't irritated at all. I don't get much in the way of acne these days but it seemed a flatten an evolving pimple the few times I've used it. WNRP.

Tranexamic & Arbutin Advanced Brightening Serum

  • 3% tranexamic acid, 2% alpha arbutin, 5% niacinamide and a few other brightening ingredients. Thicker serum but not too viscous and sinks in well. Haven't used it long enough to notice an effect but likely WRP.
