I'm curious about the Amika thermal brush on Sephora but haven't noticed many reviews outside of Sephora's website (and I don't fully trust company websites' reviews).

I have very fine, straight, short hair (just above the shoulders) that is bleached platinum blonde. The most styling I'll do is typically with the conair hot air brush 1" mostly just on my bangs for volume and to set them in place. I don't really use a blow dryer anymore; when I do occasionally wash my hair, I'll let it air dry for about 30 minutes or so and then go over it for maybe five minutes with the conair 3-in-1 ionic styler using the bristle brush attachment.

I've purchased three thermal brushes (not hot air) out of curiosity since 1. I can't use a curling iron to save my life and 2. I don't need a straightener but do need at least some minimal styling since my hair creases so easily. So far out of the ones I've tried I like the Hot Tools 1" Silicone Hot Brush Styler best, but I don't use it often because usually the hot air brush is satisfactory enough when I'm in a hurry and I'm also not exactly blown away by the performance of the Hot Tools Brush (or perhaps I'm just not using it properly/my hair doesn't do much anyway).

With all that in mind, I'm wondering if the Amika is worth the $100 or if it would be much different than what I already have. Like I've mentioned, my hair is quite flat; I have had others curl it years ago, and while it can hold curls somewhat, it takes about an hour and a can of hairspray to get the job done, and I don't even have much hair. I just wonder if the Amika could do a better or faster job of, say, flipping the ends of my hair under or giving some volume to my roots/crown.

Sorry this was so long--I'm just hesitant to drop that much money on something that may not even be suited for my hair or routine. I'd like to hear some honest opinions or even other suggestions if possible :)

I absolutely LOVE this hair styling product!! I have tried other brands in the past, but the bristles always fall out and I have to purchase a new one. I have a short stacked bob, and every morning I just touch up my hair with this thermal brush...takes minutes and looks great! I have purchased other brands, but always return them, either because the barrel is too small or there is no tip on the end to hold onto. I am so thrilled I found this produce and look forward to enjoying it for many years!!

How do you blowout a babe thermal brush?

On dry hair, simply use the Bombshell Blowout Thermal Brush as you would a round brush and blow dryer to achieve a smooth, voluminous blowout in half the time. For added shine - activate the negative ion generator! Simply slide the on/off button all the way up until it glows red, then green.
