But worth the stink. My pictures show me with jet black hair and after the stripper, (I followed all steps), my hair is a light reddish/brown. It lifted a lot of levels. Like a 1 to maybe 6 or 7! I reluctantly said yes and three months later when it was time to return to school, we could not get the black(somewhat green) dye out of her hair. After multiple natural DIY recipes didn’t work, we decided to try something different. As soon as we opened the box, the strong rotten egg scent hit us and we second guessed our decision. However, we didn’t have a choice as school started in one week and the school has a strict “no hair dye” policy. So, we applied the product as directed and once we rinsed it out, we did notice a good lift of black out of her hair. We used the product agai. Three days later and had an even better response. Her school started and she still had a tinge of greenish color in her hair so we did a third a final application and finally got all the color out. You probably aren’t supposed to use it so much and wouldn’t recommend it but unfortunately we were in a pinch. Reviewed in the United States on October 29, 2022 I had up to 5 different colors, all tones/undertones of blonde ranging from almost brown to red to brown, in my hair since last year, plus sun-in when I tried to get rid of the red. This took almost all of it out. The pictures are my hair after sun-in to after this product. I didn't think it smelled too bad while using it but once I walked out of the bathroom I definitely smelled it a lot more. My hair was already dry/damaged and I don't think this made it any worse. 4.0 out of 5 stars

Reviewed in the United States on September 18, 2022 So I had red hair, not ginger, not strawberry blonde, no I'm talking for engine back side of a baboon bright freaking red hair. Henna based and permanent no less. After 2 years of this I've come to realize I DO NOT have the patience, commitment or drive to maintain it anymore. Originally my hair is a lighter honey blonde, maybe a shade or 2 lower than a warm platinum. My hopes were kinda low I would see what I wanted. Read the reviews and realized it's a 50/50 chance it's turn out the way I wanted. So I tried it. Upon mixing it the consistency was thinner than I thought but it spread great on the hair, then it got me. The smell. It's not as bad as the smell of perm solutions but sweet 8lb 6oz baby Jesus it was up there and all I could think about was my recent trip to yellowstone. It smells of pickled eggs and all I could advise is use in a ventilated area. Luckily it's summer time so I went outside and killed 2 birds with 1 stone. than provided the needed heat to process (not required for it to work but it does it up a bit when wearing a processing cap) and have my nose a break from the follicular egg salad smell. Waited the needed time and jumped in the shower, followed by the activator. It surprised me how well it worked, it took it from a cherry colored concoction to light color, applied a second time like the directions say and it went to a rose 🌹 gold. I followed that up with a bond repair routine (I suggest age beautiful bond repair) and followed it with a really diluted bleach bath to lift it the remaining half step. Is your looking for something that'll alleviate the mistake of unwanted hair color than I recommend this. I would suggest to start a bonding routine 2 weeks to a month prior and a hair mask after but it is seriously awesome. I'm super sensitive to smells and I was like, "oh, this is it?" In reading the reviews here, I almost didn't buy it because I was convinced I'd be puking my guts up due to the smell. For me, it's not great, but it just smells like a perm. But otherwise it’s a great product and left my hair smooth, however wouldn’t recommend dying straight after, I did and it immediately heated up my hair and could have burnt it. I left it in for 30 minutes, rinsed, shampooed and conditioned then finished off with a leave in repair conditioner that I let sit for 10 minutes. My hair doesn’t feel damaged or dry. It took about 2 rounds of washing my hair for the smell to disappear.
