Hey All,
I'm thinking of upgrading my graphics card from a Nvaida Geforce GTX 1080 TI to a Nvaida Geforce RTX 3090, and I'm wondering if my motherboard, Asus ROG MAXIMUS X HERO (WI-FI AC), would be compatible.
Thank you.

It has PCIE 3.0 X16 slot, it is compatible.
With high power graphics cards main issue is PSU. You'll need 750W-850W PSU to power that beast.

Power shouldn't be a problem since I have a 1000watt PSU.
The main reason for my confusion was because listed that the type of PCI Express slot the card uses was a 4.0 x16. In contrast, my motherboard has a PCI Express slot 3.0 x16.
Thanks

PCIE 4.0 cards can operate in PCIE 3.0 mode too. That's not a problem.
