Haven't finished the game but wondering if there is a point of no return or if it gives you a warning

firstinflight 7 years ago#2

If you beat it (not sure about 100% completion) without getting all riddler trophies and such , you can still free roam after

BakonBitz 7 years ago#3

Yes, there's free roam after finishing the story.

Unlike the other games, this one has a 100% "true ending" deal, so the free roam allows you to collect and finish everything to view it.

So you can still get the True Ending after beating the story? That's what ya saying?
If yes, then by all means; I'll take it! I am working on all sidequests atm but needless to say the Riddler trophies will take some time and I do want to finish the story rather sooner than later.

Is it possible to max out Batman's upgrades without having to do a New Game +, and is the Nightfall Protocol still glitched?

"There currently is a bug in which leaving the Riddler quest as the only side quest left (for the Knightfall to be at 13/14) renders the Knightfall unable to be activated, forcing you to accept the 100% ending. While this doesn't negate the trophy at all, if you plan on saving the Riddler collectibles for a New Game Plus and want to see the partial ending, make sure to leave at least one other side quest unfinished"

That's not a glitch, it's just how the game is designed. But yes, that is still the case.

As far as maxing out upgrades without NG+, it depends on how much of the DLC you have and how many challenges you're willing to do. If you have all the DLC challenge packs and races, you get a Waynetech point for every challenge you get 3 stars on with the default character or car.

The season of infamy DLC gives you a bunch more waynetech points too.

You need season of infamy and a bunch of challenge maps and the skill to get 3 stars on most of the challenges in order to max out your skills before doing NG+

So would it be safe to just do all Riddler things first and get them out of the way?

StucklnMyPants 6 years ago#4

Just do them as you go. I was under the impression that if you've completed more than 7 side missions, but not 14, you wouldn't be able to see the full ending until completing all 14. Granted, I'm not too sure of this now since I did exactly what you quoted in your first post, left only the Riddles for the end, and it wouldn't let me see the ending until I collected the rest of the riddles. And the riddles really didn't take too long at the end of the game; maybe a couple of hours, but I was picking up any that I visibly saw during my playthrough.

For the upgrades, I've completed the main story + side missions, and probably around 45 or so challenges (which you have to 3 star), and I'm still 8 points shy of upgrading everything. You'll probably need to complete around 50-60 challenges in addition to the main story, side quests and season of infamy. I can give you a more accurate number the next time I'm at my PC, if you want. But you'll need to do a lot of challenges to get to that point on your first playthrough.

Power concedes nothing without a demand.

It's safe, but you can't do all the Riddler things first. Not all of the Riddler things are available the first time you visit an area. Riddler continues setting up new challenges all through the game. They aren't all available until close to the end of the game.

Remember that you can't get too accurate, because you also get points based on levels, and levels based on experience, and your experience can vary drastically depending on your skill in the game.

For instance, if you kill every enemy tank in a fight on the batmobile without taking any damage, you'll earn double the experience. If you kill every enemy tank without ever breaking your combo, you'll earn triple the experience.

The same types of bonuses apply to combat and predator areas. Get through a predator map without ever getting shot and you earn double experience. Get through a predator map without alerting any of the enemies and you'll earn triple. You also get a bonus for fear takedowns, though that alerts the enemies, so it negates the 3x bonus from never being seen.

Combat, you'll get double experience for not taking damage, and triple experience for a perfect freeflow combo, with extra bonuses for variation and combo length.
