Best last podcast on the left episodes reddit

In no particular order:

1.) Rasputin

2.) L Ron Hubbard

3.) Robert Pickton

4.) H.H. Holmes

5.) Ghost Cats of The South

6.) Edgewood

7.) The Magick episodes (Left Hand, Right Hand, Chaos Magick)

8.) Hollow Earth

9.) Hollow Moon

10.) 9/11 The Day (NOT FUNNY AT ALL, but extremely moving and imo important to listen to. It’s really horrible, and will probably make you cry, but it’s important.)

Honestly there’s so many it’s getting harder and harder to give a “best” list, especially because they just do not slow down in quality imo. Many podcasts have a “Golden Age” imo, and if you ask me LPOTL’s is very long, starting at about episode 50, and they’re still in it.

My friend just asked my for recommendations! This is what I sent her:

1- The Donner Party, 331 and 332

2- Rasputin, 310, 311, 312, and 313

3- RICHARD CHASE**,** 245 and 246

4- Robert Pickton, 288, 289, 290, 291

5- HH Holmes - 200, 201 and 202

6- Dean Corll - 210, 211, 212 and 213

7- Casey Anthony - 306, 307 (Henry, who grew up in Florida, has such utter contempt for FL)

-8 Dennis Nilsen, 317 and 318

-9 Carl Panzram, 271, 272 and 273

10- Joseph Kallinger, 356 and 257

11- Girly Chew Hossencroft, 393 and 394

12- Andrei Chikatilo, 141 and 142

When i saw that LPOTL was back in my feed today i was very excited. I didn't get spotify when they went exclusive, so i've not kept up with the show at all during this time and now there is a big backlog of episodes to explore.

I'd love to hear what episodes people would recommend most from the last two years or so? I enjoy the goofier stuff and the more grim true crime stuff.

A great place to jump in is either the Donner Party or the Black Death series.

Both are spread out over multiple episodes, as there is SO MUCH to cover; those could lure you with the sheer volume of information, drama, and storytelling (they're also pretty dang recent, so there is less of a colorful shock of the older episodes).

Plus, in the Donner Party, Marcus says "the thing", which is fun, and in the Black Death, there's Ben saying the "other thing" as well as Marcus doing a great Dan Carlin impression (which is awesome). Henry's great in both!

Unless aliens are your thang, which I recommend the Journey to Serpo; one and done.

Just my own favs. Let's hear yours

  1. H H Holmes (my fav murderer, I mean come on murder house yo. And devil in the white city is my favorite crime book)

  2. Belle Gunness (this series is just fantastic. Belle reminded me of Anne Wilkes from misery for some reason and if they ever made a movie Kathy Bates would be perfect for the role)

  3. Jim Jones series (I knew about Jim Jones of course but I'd never deep dived like LPOTL did. They fucking went all out for this one. Just fantastic)

  4. JFK/Oswald series (this series is perfect if you want to know about the JFK assassination and be entertained at the same time. I wonder how much editing and redos they had to do with this one.)

  5. OKC bombing series (was in OKC when this happened although young. Really good dive into what happened. Also Waco episode is a nice follow up to this because Waco was one of the things that happened to lead up to OKC)

  6. 9/11 series (it's been ripped apart from.ecery angle and there are a billion docs out there already that we've all watched before these episodes even came out but it's still a really good deep dive. Love the conspiracy episode particularly)

  7. Chikatilo series (this fucking guy. If you don't know about chikatilo you gotta listen to this one)

  8. Kemper series (he's like the mickey mouse of serial killers! I almost wanna give him a hug!)

  9. Rodriguez series (they kinda were still coming into there own as a podcast when they did the night stalker, but I'm a sucker for Ricky. This one shows the starts of the Deep Dives that the boys put together. It just gets better and better from here.

  10. Hudson valley UFO series (grew up around this area. Knew a lot about it to begin with so it was fun to hear the boys talk about it cause it felt like home)

Forgive me if this question is asked often here. I'm a new fan of the show and was wondering what episodes(/series of episodes on a certain topic) are your favourites?

I want to dig back in to some old episodes, and was looking for a good place to start. I recently listened to the Robert Pickton episodes and I really enjoyed those!
