When it comes to a restaurant on Panama City Beach, you can’t go past Pineapple Willy’s. This should definitely be your first stop on your vacation. Pineapple Willy’s is a famous local favourite and the passionate staff have been serving up fresh seafood since 1984.

What’s the secret to their longevity as one of the best restaurants in town? It has to be their love for the community and serving great food!

However, Pineapple Willy’s is so much more than a place to pick up fresh fish. They’re also well-known for their ribs, killer beach view, cocktails, and live music. They don’t accept reservations so make sure you get there early to get a table with the best view. As you can imagine, this place fills up fast. 

2. Wicked Wheel 

This is the sister restaurant of Pineapple Willy’s, but the menu and vibe are completely different! 

Even though The Wicked Wheel isn’t as close to the beach, it more than makes up for it with its hip interior, great food, and family-friendly dining experience. The restaurant offers delicious smoked wings and local craft beer on tap. If this wasn’t enough, they’ve been awarded ‘Best Fried Chicken’ in Bay County for seven years running.

As you can probably imagine, this is the type of restaurant that isn’t just for tourists. Locals in the community also love The Wicked Wheel. So this is a strong recommendation for those who want to get an authentic local experience.  

Another reason why you should head over to The Wicked Wheel is that they even have a lifestyle shop where they sell clothes and accessories that speak their passion for motorcycles and hot rods.

3. Local Steamer Seafood Market

A visit to Panama City Beach wouldn’t be complete without stopping at Local Steamer Seafood Market. This beloved local mainstay has made it to the top of every food list and for good reason. Menu highlights include their steamed seafood platters, world-famous tuna dip, and enormous snow crab. They’re located right across from Front Beach Road, so you can enjoy your meal right by the beach.

4. Kilwin’s

This is the perfect spot for all the sweet tooths out there!

Kilwin’s is an old-fashioned confectioners store, and this mom-and-pop shop offers an array of treats to indulge in, including chocolate, fudge, nut brittle, 32 ice cream flavours, and much more.

For all of the health-conscious visitors, don’t worry! Kilwin’s even has a massive selection of sugar-free options. It’s also located right on the Boardwalk in front of the City Pier, so it’s the perfect place to go for a stroll while you indulge. There’s also seating outside if you’d prefer to relax while you enjoy some quality time with your loved ones. 

5. British Eatery 

One of the things that really stand out about Panama City Beach is the diversity of the food scene. You can enjoy local bites in a relaxed setting or international cuisine in elegant digs. The choice is yours! 

No restaurant showcases this more than British Eatery. This restaurant offers up the very best in traditional English fare. They make every dish with local and seasonal ingredients, while also adding a contemporary flair.

This local institution has an extensive menu that would satisfy even the pickiest eater. Salty Sue’s has been serving the local community for over 25 years, and they obviously have a passion for customer service and great food! 

What stands out the most about Salty Sue’s is the expansive menu that includes seafood, steak, BBQ, burgers, and sandwiches. However, you just can’t go past their house specialties; Cajun-style shrimp and grits, the fried seafood platter, and shrimp Christo. 

Salty Sue’s also has live entertainment, which makes this the perfect spot to make some lasting memories while you’re visiting Panama City Beach to eat.

8. Eat at the Yard Milkshake Bar

The milkshakes at The Yard Milkshake Bar are epic. If you want some foodie pics for your Instagram, then this is the place to be. You can get cupcakes in your milkshakes, waffles peeking out of the whipped cream and all sorts of sweet treats.
