Is Crying in H Mart worth reading?

"Crying in H Mart by Michelle Zauner is a beautiful, intimate memoir following the authors relationship to her dying mother. Throughout the book you get to see how food became a bonding point for Michelle and her mom. I loved the elaborate descriptions of the various Korean dishes Michelle had enjoyed.

What is Crying in H Mart a memoir about?

Crying in H Mart revolves around Zauner's mother, Chongmi, and her deterioration and death from cancer. The memoir does not start with Chongmi directly, but rather her impact. The titular essay shows Zauner as an adult buying groceries at the Korean H Mart, overcome with emotion.
