Buds pro vs buds 2 reddit

Buds 2 for sure. Yeah there is no 1 size fit all in earbuds world but not only Buds Pro dont fit well, but even when they do, for many pals they just come lose after a few min of wearing, for me, they fit well with the large eartips but then if i talk, eat, yawn, cough, walk or even smile, they come lose and adjusting them with those super sensitive touches means something will be accidentally activated during adjustment. Those who are happy with the pros mostly invested in foam eartips, which is not everyone's cup of tea.

The noise handling during call compared to Buds Plus is worse.You can check the real results on rtings.com. I made a comparison before selling the Pros and people said the Buds pro mic seem to have higher gain and picks up more environment noises.

The ANC for those who actually tried Bose/Sony is none existent. There is a reason the price dropped like a w$ore drops her skirt not long after release. They both cost about the same now, I would pick buds 2 up instead of the Pros. They are lighter than the pros which means they may not come lose as easy as the pros during different daily activities. Note that I do not own the 2s, just plus and pros.

I have tried both Galaxy Buds Pro and Galaxy Buds 2 Pro (I'm not an audiophile).

In my opinion the Galaxy Buds Pro sound better. The sound is richer, warmer and more enveloping, maybe due to their bigger drivers. I feel like I can distinguish the instruments in a better way with the Buds Pro. Moreover, in the buds 2 pro, the bass are weaker compared to their predecessor and the higher frequencies are more emphasized. However, the Buds 2 Pro got a better ANC and a better transparency mode thanks to their new microphones (Galaxy Buds Pro's transparency mode feels more "metallic"). The Buds Pro won't fall off my ears even with strong and fast movements, therefore they fit more stable even though they are more "bulky" compared to the newer version (it depends on the shape of your ears). Finally, thanks to the newer Bluetooth version, the Buds 2 Pro have a slightly noticeable better latency.

I got the Buds Pro at 99€ so I'm going to return the Buds 2 Pro because, even though they got better ANC and transparency mode, they have a weaker audio IMO and, of course, are more pricey.

I have both, personally if it's only $10 I would spend the extra and get the Buds Pro, they are better. Sounds better, ANC is also better, wind shield makes a huge difference for ambient.

The Buds2 are also great. But the Pro is better.

The Pro fit me fine (I use aftermarket tips) but I do agree the 2 are more likely to fit more people.

Regarding waiting, you're going to have them a lot longer than you're going to have to wait... this is my general view on waiting.

I had my buds 2 before my buds pro and i have to say honestly

My ears are quite big so sometimes i didnt even feel like i was wearing any buds (if thats what u like more its definitely worth it) and the sound/quality for the price is very good imo

Then the pro's, bought them a month ago

Feel like the sound is much better and the voice detection is very helpfull in alot of scenarios like school, work, library etc.

I feel like its just about preference between these 2 buds, both really good for what you pay for, pro's are slightly better (imo) but they're more expensive at the same time

I'd say: if u got the budget get the pro's (and not too small ears lol)

And.if you're lower on budget for earbuds just get the 2's, they are very good aswell, just sometimes the touchcontrols activate when ur wearing your hoodie or whatever which might be annoying

(And with riding my bike i prefer the pro's aswell, they got imo a better anc (might be cause my buds2 are older) And when im just riding with friends i can talk with them through the buds as easily without having any issue from any wind )

So I have been use the first galaxy buds for 2 and a half year and it one of it pair nearly broken so I have a plan to buy a new one which one should I should Galaxy Buds 2 or Galaxy Buds Pro.

Worth noting, there is a new version of the Pros coming out in like 2 weeks. So there is a chance the pros will drop to clearance pricing or you'll be able to buy the new ones as well.

Personally I find the original pro's uncomfortable to wear for anything longer than 20-30 minutes, the tips have a very different shape compared to the Original Buds but friends that have them love them so ymmv (I haven't seen the Buds 2 in person so I can't offer a comparison to them).

Bought foam tips for my pro, have been good for sleeping.

Big ears pro. Small ears 2. The biggest difference is the fit. The pro are kinda chunky and the buds are like the tiniest earbuds ever haha. The buds pro sound less v shaped. Vocals have more weight and clarity to them where the buds 2 are more v shaped treble and bass. The pros sound make me want to listen to like guitars and rock and vocals and the buds to are more for hip hop and edm. They can be adjusted but the pro just has a little more clarity and a more full sound. The buds 2 sound more like airpods with more bass. They both still sound great. I have the og buds and those sound awesome too haha. The buds 2 have a little more soundstage I'd say the pros are really intimate. Get either refurbished for like 50-70 at best buy.com so you don't spend a bunch and then want to return them for the new ones on the 10th haha. The amount you'll save is worth not having the newest ones at least until the new ones drop from their reported like $249 price tag.

Weird, the graphs and reviews tell an opposite story in the tuning. The Pros are a warm Harman interpretation (with more 200-300hz and more bright sounding at 5k-6k).

It all depends on your ears and how comfortable the Buds are for you, I tried both the 2 and the Pros, I stayed with the Pros because they actually are more comfortable for my ears and they sound slightly better, I also got em on sale for 140$ too so that's helps lol

If you can try the pros before buying them because the fit can be annoying for some people. It was quite annoying for me and I thought about returning it but after 3-4 days I got used to it and realized the sound quality is way better (esp for the price I got in India around 80$). I haven't tried the Galaxy Buds 2 though. I would recommend you the pros if you don't have small ears.

I have both and the Buds 2 fit way better and they've become my daily earbuds. Bear in mind when it comes to earbuds fit, experiences vary a lot between individuals.

Buy neither and wait for a few weeks. Buds 2 Pro will be unveiled soon. You can then choose to buy that or the previous gen buds, which I'm sure will be discounted even further.

I have the buds 2 and I love the sound signature it has. But I did have to get new tips since the stock ones are very uncomfortable. I would either get the foam tips or silicon foam tips. I chose the silicon foam tips since they don't reduce the bass as much as the foam tips. If anything, go to best buy, get the buds 2 first, then in your car open them and try them out for a bit, then exchange them for the pros and see which ones you'll like more. That's what I did. But since new ones are coming out soon there not much of a point ATM.
