But where are those who share the memory

This is the official community for Genshin Impact (原神), the latest open-world action RPG developed by miHoYo. The game features a massive, gorgeous map, an elaborate elemental combat system, engaging storyline & characters, co-op game mode, soothing soundtrack, and much more for you to explore!

Osmanthus Wine is, pretty self explanatorily, a type of wine made out of osmanthus, a plant that grows on the form of shrubs or small trees (mainly on Asia).

Commonly used as a joke between Genshin Impact players, as it is part of a voiceline repetitively said by the character Zhongli;

“Osmanthus wine tastes the same as I remember, but where are those who share the memory?”

Nobody knows what the memory is, now who are “those who share it”.

What does Zhongli say about osmanthus wine?

The line is him saying that while it tastes the same, nearly everybody that he drank it with back then is dead now. It's a bittersweet line meant to provoke thoughts about how the world has moved on for him, how the experience of drinking the wine isn't the same now even if the taste is, and other sad things.

What kind of wine does Zhongli like?

References to the osmanthus in Chinese literature and poetry are often translated as "cassia" because both trees were formerly known in China as 桂 (Modern Standard Mandarin: guì). The drink is referenced many times in the game Genshin Impact as the favourite beverage of the character Zhongli.

What is osmanthus wine made of?

Osmanthus wine is sweetened and produced from weak baijiu and flavored with Osmanthus flowers, hence its name. Although it is distilled, it typically has less than 20% alcoholic content.
