Responsible for completing tasks needed to successfully operate a redemption center.i The primary focus of the can redemption employee is efficient sorting of cans and bottles and to be a good role model to consumers.Responsible for safe and effective sorting of cans and bottles.Maintain quality work and sort cans and bottles into appropriate boxes.Use time wisely to maximize sorting efficiency.Work in a safe manner.Make sure gloves are worn at all times.Greet and thank customers professionally and with friendliness.iResponsible for maintaining clean working environment.Assist with cleaning of can redemption tables and floors.Clean bathroom at least once per week.Clean break room once daily after lunch.Ensure parking lot is free of debris and garbage.Responsible for all aspects of position as assigned.Accurately completes timecard and submits in a timely manner.Maintains daily redemption records as necessary.Assists in counting activities as necessary.Assists if required in supervision loading of trucks.Act as a role model for other staff and consumers.

Operate computer-controlled keyboards or voice recognition equipment to direct items according to established routing schemes.
Answer inquiries regarding shipping or mailing policies.
Lift and unload containers of mail or parcels onto equipment for transportation to sortation stations.
Contact delivery or courier services to arrange delivery of letters and parcels.
Place incoming or outgoing letters or packages into sacks or bins based on destination or type, and place identifying tags on sacks or bins.
Clear jams in sortation equipment.
Mail merchandise samples or promotional literature in response to requests.
Adjust guides, rollers, loose card inserters, weighing machines, and tying arms, using rules and hand tools.
Read production orders to determine types and sizes of items scheduled for printing and mailing.
