Can I book a hotel for someone else Hilton

Hi all,

It looks like you most likely cannot book a room for someone else under your account, add them as a guest, and hope that they get the status benefits that you have without you staying there.

Though I've also read people have done this before as well and it worked for some of them.

Mainly planning to book a room for my brother, I'm not going to travel with him, and I'm just hoping that he would be able to enjoy the free breakfast benefits from my status (don't care much about room upgrades and any other benefits).

Wondering what would be the best way to do this to have the highest chance of success?

Or maybe any horror stories from someone who had done this before and it ended up being a disaster, just to deter me from doing this?
