i’m just curious if anyone knows if we can change the 2k21 shot meter to the 2k20 shot meter.

I read the whole thing and it didn't say anything about the other shot meters, except about how they tried pro stick aiming in 2k17

It doesn’t that mean it’ll change back to not aiming with the pro stick? Because it says controls not shot meters...
But we’ll probably be able to change it back, we were able to change it in 2k20

In the real game it’s been confirmed you can change the shooting settings to how they were in 2k20

The settings, but not the meter. So if you want to play with meter on, it has to be the new meter, but you can play meter off as well.

We only know that in the demo you can't. Not sure about in the game. Based on previous years though its safe to assume that it would be a feature.

i don’t think you cam go back to the old shot meter. imo what they meant was you can use 2k20 settings with the new meter

You can't change it back to last year's shot meter which sucks because the new one is terrible, you can just turn off the shot aiming which helps a little but its still terrible they ruined it

I'm cool w/ no meter because I've been practicing in 2k20. I've gotten better with that that the meter. In all of the 2k's the meter fucks with my eyes. Maybe try w/ no meter?

The shot meter in NBA 2k21 has gone through some changes.
The shot meter in NBA 2K21 is different than last year’s game. Because of this you might want to change the shot meter in NBA 2K21 to make the game feel more like 2K20. In this guide we’ll explain where you need to go to change the shot meter in NBA 2K21.
Turn off Shot Meter in NBA 2K21
If you want to change the shot meter you have a couple of different options. You will need to head into the controller settings from the main menu and then scroll down to the “Shot Meter” options. Here you will find that you can have the shot meter on or off, and you can change it to free throws only.
Can you change the shot meter to 2k20 version?
Right now there is no way to use the shot meter from NBA 2k20. You only have the ability to turn off the shot meter entirely, use it on free throws only, or use it for all shots.
Where to Change Shot Meter Settings
You can change the shot meter settings in the controller settings menu. This can be found in the game’s main title screen under the “Features” section. You can also change the shot meter options at other spots as well. During a game you can change the shot meter on and off by heading into the pause menu and choosing Options > Controller Settings. Just about every mode will allow you to change and edit your controller settings similarly.
