Location of serial number on Original

I just had someone email some info & pictures of an Original they are interested in selling. By the look of the pictures it's a '61(no cut out on lower right side of dash pedastal). I'm at work & can't remember exactly where to tell him to look for the serial number on the rearend. It would be nice to be a 3 digit!!. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Mike

Tag is located on the underside of the seat. Your model number will begin with a 17. Tag is located on the underside of the seat.

What year was my equipment built? The 5th character of our 11 character product serial numbers will indicate the last number of the year that it was manufactured. Since 5th character in the example is a 4, the year of manufacture would be a year ending in 4.
