A show where 2 spoiled celebrities preach at us and pretend it's comedy

I'm sitting here watching this show and almost at the end of the first episode and it dawns on me...I haven't even come close to laughing a single time. And I realize why...because Seth Rogan and Sarah Silverman just aren't funny anymore and worse than that...they don't know what funny is. They've been living in their rich privileged celebrity bubble for so long they're completely disconnected from their audience and are oblivious to it. None of this material is edgy, it hasn't been for over a decade, it's just the mainstream narrative that we already see every single day. And what's worse it's written in a way where they're clearly stroking their own egos, the show is basically "Look how awesome and progressive we are! Praise us!". All this show does is display Seth and Sarah's narcissism.

"Santa Claus Conquers the Martians" is a Masterpiece Compared to This

I have actually seen "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians," widely considered to be the worst film ever made. I actually liked it when I saw it, but I was six years old and can be forgiven. But "Santa Inc" is actually worse than my adult opinion of SCCTM. "Santa Inc" is just totally tone deaf. Seth Rogen and Sarah Silverman just have no idea to whom their show is addressed. Kids will not get into it and adults will be alienated. Sorry, it really is as bad as they say it is. If nothing else, Rogen and Silverman have made something memorable. Not in a good way, alas.

Truly a milestone in bad entertainment

Warning: Spoilers

I had to watch this tonight to judge for myself. Indeed it is just awful. It is too inane for adults and too boring for kids. And plus it is just raunchy, because the producers know how to do that, and hope you don't notice it is not funny. No wonder I spend so much time at Turner Classic Movies. There are good films being made today, but far and away most movies and TV are loud, bright, vulgar, and violent. This is exhibit A. Whatever HBO spent on it was too much. Congrats Baby Geniuses 2. I finally found something worse than you.

Creative Decline.

It has become self-evident that we are all witnesses to the creative decline of Seth Rogen and Sarah Silverman. I'm not a fan of Christmas films or shows at the best of times, but mocking Christmas' already cliched tropes with such disdain is so lazy, unwatchable and cringe.

No unjustified criticism or speculative conspiracy theories here, just a low-quality limited series. Emphasis on the 'limited'.

Nope.

Santa Inc. Has become the laughing stock of internet television because of its crass political allegories, mean-spirited characters, non-existent humour and wasting its full-series structure as a means to waste its potentially potent message that anyone's capable of goodwill (but first they must have it).

This show might try to work on some levels beyond the animation, but there's nothing of real worth here, because the characters don't justify its eight half-hour episodes or using the viewers' time. This is a Christmas show done poorly, and devoid of any subversive charm; it succumbs to its own cynicism.

Santa Inc. Exists; and that's far too much for some of us who watched it.

Terribly unfunny

Same jokes we have heard before, same attempt to be "edgy" with curse words, same attempt to child-like animation style that falls flat and same preachy hollywood message. This show was as funny as overflowing colostomy bag.

There is nothing new here, just more rich people complaining how unfair things are while collecting a nice fat paycheck. Congratulations Seth you managed to beat the Star Wars Christmas special as the worst special.

Wow and not in a good way.

How on earth did they think to green-light this? This is possible the worst thing I have seen in a long time. This is just sad and depressing. This shows how out of touch Hollywood can be with the audience thinking this was actually a good idea.

I lost interest half way through first episode

Im not going to go into all the obvious messaging in it I dont mind sticking your thumb in tradition Christmas is ripe for that kind of thing. This just IS NOT FUNNY IN ANY WAY. By 15 minutes in I wasn't paying attention anymore. Why is adult animation so hit or miss You got great ones in Big Mouth on netflix Ten year old Tom on hbo max, Bobs Burgers on fox a though there getting to the end of the line. Archer on FX (same thing as bobs burgers) But there has been 3 or 4 adult animations coming out in last couple months that have just been horrible and this is probably the worse. Fairfax ave from amazon, Adventure Beast netflix, Harper house parmount, The Prince hbo, America the motion picture netflix. These were all junk - this is like America the motion picture didnt make sense was stupid and it was all about saying dirty words and sex which if fine but AGAIN not funny at all. I finally gave up totally on it half way episode 3.

General overview: Its garbage.

Theres no other way to put it. This is a terrible show. Possibly one of the worst ever made. I gotta give it to these "haters", this is a painfully annoying series. The sad thing is that it could have been decent. I will start by pointing out the two good aspects of the show:

1- It has decent voice acting: Not the best, just competent.

2- The animation is also alright.

And thats about it. There isnt much to like here. You probably know the plot. Santa has to name his successor and theres an elf named Candy who wants to be the first female Santa. The show is about "sexism" in the workplace and about taking a bunch of jabs at people who dont share the writers ideas. Its quite lacking when it comes to story, every episode only advances the plot slightly and it feels too streched out. It really could have been a movie, it had no reason to be a series because it only has about 40 minutes worth of content.

The characters are all awful people, not only do you not care about them, but you grow to despise those hideous creatures. The main character is as obnoxious as a grown up Lisa Simpson would have been, her friends are all common archetypes in bad shows or movies. We have the young mom whose entire personality is that she is a millennial mom that hates her husband and work, as well as having to deal with a child. The other friend is the raunchy sex addict that is "crazy" and curses a lot. None of them have any likable or sympathetic moments in the entirety of the show, they really dont have much of a presence and they come off as irrelevant.

The jokes are mostly the typical gross out gags involving high amounts of sex jokes, puke, blood, and the most disgusting thing of all, leftist politics without restrain or subtlety. Really, this would just be a mediocre bad show if it wasnt for the idiotic agenda they try to shove down your throat, thats what makes it a legendary awful piece of trash. This is the type of show only hardcore brainwashed hypocritical nutjobs obsessed with left wing ideas can enjoy. There isnt one scene that doesnt annoy the hell out of you with some buzzword or joke about "sexism", "racism" or something in the vain of "screw people who dont think like me", the typical "SJW" stuff from modern Hollywood shows and movies but doubled.

Not an ounce of creativity, lacking any genuine vision or interesting ideas. Santa Inc. Appeals to the Lowest common denominator that lurks in the depths of twitter or tumblr. If a concept like this would have been developed by a clever writer or showrunner, then they could have relied on metaphors or analogies instead of blatantly mentioning sex, race or modern politics. Everything bad that its said about it its true. It really didnt work well for them and now we have a horrendous series that people will crap on, as long as they dont forget that it even exists.

Possibly the worst show ever made

Warning: Spoilers

Watching this show is the equivalent of walking out in the oldest forrest, lifting up a big rock and licking that green gooey stuff underneath while evil plague infested rats are nibbling on your ankles. This is such a putrified horrible little nasty evil thing that you have to give some cred to the creators - I mean, damn, how do your soul get so black that you willingly work on this project?

But this is not just evil to its core nor is it only filled with nasty toilet humour, this is also badly done in every sense of the word. The script is one of the worst ever written, the story and the animation is worse than that of the old Czech communist propaganda stories from the 1970s. Nothing here is done well, but perhaps the voice acting take the bottom price...

Needless to say, this is as low as humanity can go. The only thing lower than this garbage would be hell itself.1/10 and believe me when I say that this is the worst thing you can ever watch.

I tried yet, couldn't get through it . Appalling.

I want to be 'Entertained' and can be on so many levels however this was not centered in entertainment yet seemingly an attack cloaked as comedy and, it wasn't even funny.

STICK with the premise this industry is about and that's 'Entertainment'. Not personal, spiritual or political bias that loses all basics... entertainment.

Why?

Warning: Spoilers

Remember when we were just allowed to enjoy things; without having an agenda rammed up our noses? Me too. I miss those days.

Tried watching this, because I wanted to make my own judgement on it. I managed about 11 minutes, I'm afraid.

The humour - from what I could tell - seemed to emanate from bad language and vulgarity. Why? It's supposed to be a festive show. Don't get me wrong, I'm not bothered by bad language and vulgarity. But when it's being used in place of actual humour, it's just annoying and obvious.

This was worse than Sausage Party, in my opinion, and that's saying something.

Sad

Warning: Spoilers

Old actors trying to connect with a younger generation that has heard it all before. We've all seen this behavior of trying to be cool from one generation to the next, but it's always the oblivious that repeat the mistakes of their parents. The whole kitchen sink was thrown at this series; feminism, diversity, white privilege, and toxic masculinity. It's so exhausting listening to an old generation of people try to explain these concepts to us. Why couldn't they just make a funny thing about Christmas that speaks to everybody? Seth Rogan has a sense of humor that's better used for dive bars and poker games. It didn't work for his hotdog movie and it doesn't work here. Cussing for sake of seeming cool, is like hanging out in your old high school parking lot smoking a joint... Seth thinks to himself, "These kids are gonna think I'm so cool." - The reality is that the generation you're talking to doesn't care what you have to say because you're all over 40. Some over 50.

Santa Inc tries too hard. It's the same jargon we've heard for the past 20 years; women can do anything a man can do, diversity means everyone is a different color but we all think the same way so that's what makes it nice, out with the old Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and in with the little purple elf with the bad attitude. Geezus, can't we get a break? Can't we just sit down and watch a TV show or a film that isn't trying to sell us a message, but actually tries to entertain us? It's so tiring that I do cringe. It's so overdone that I feel the cringe through my whole body. It's so obvious to everyone but the presenters that you're trying so hard to remain relevant that it's sad watching you fail.

The animation is good. The design was grotesque. Maybe even lazy. The main character Candy (played by Silverman) is an ugly purple color, with what looks like hair from a clog, and the grating unfriendly voice-over makes me wonder why she isn't the villain. Santa Claus, (played by Seth Rogan) is an inheritor of the mantle who is going to need a successor. Now since there's never been a woman to hold the mantle of Santa Claus, the message is "isn't it time we had a female Santa?" My answer is no. We don't need to have a female take over a fantasy character that has always been a man. Why not just create your own character and let's see if society will embrace her. We know it's fiction, we know it's fantasy, but it's still an old tale that somehow became traditional and a lot of folks like their traditions. People enjoy their traditions so much that they will hate any interference from someone who doesn't appreciate the same tradition. Make your own traditions, I say, but don't completely dump on one that people love. You've taken someone's Jolly Ol' Saint Nick and made him a dim-witted, pervy stoner. You can blame the dislike of this HBO series on whatever you want, but the reality is, is that you've abused something that brings families together. It's like Apple buying the rights of 'Charlie Brown' and all the 'Peanuts' characters and forcing people to pay for Apple TV just to enjoy it with their kids. I would hope readers will grasp this notion and stop pointing the finger at far-right extremism. It's got nothing to do with politics, it's about remembering what being a child was like and sharing this tiny thing with your own kids one day.

The public reacted in a human way? Xmas miracle!!!

Honestly I was half expecting people to actually enjoy this pile of pathetic woke garbage. The whole "plot" is about Christmas actually being a me-too boys club that celebrates white supremacy and toxic masculinity. Interested yet? Well the main characters in this Christmas show are Jewish "stars" Seth Rogen and Sarah Silverman, so I'm sure you can't wait to hear them explain their political stance on a holiday they don't celebrate while tossing in unfunny jokes about republicans. What's that? You'd rather die? Well you don't have to be rude about it! Don't you wanna support the movement and be on the right side of history? You don't want to end up as some fat scummy face-saving turd who denies ever having been friends with someone after their indecendies are revealed. On a completely separate note, whatever happened to Seth Rogan's bromance with James Franco?

Just Wow. And not in a good way!

I am flabbergasted at how awful this absolute garbage is. Silverman is an idiot. Rogen is incompetent too, sure, but this bad?? This bad??? Just wow. The worst show I've ever seen. All comments are off with the trailer on YouTube = HBO Max saying "we don't want to hear your feedback!" OK! You carry on losing money then. I'm all good.

Don't waste your time

I'm neither white, nor an American, nor a Christian. But this is plain horrible. What a cringe worthy thing! What is wrong with Hollywood seriously? How many more agenda based shows & movies would you make? I don't know why the writers put agenda before a good writing that would be loved by the audience. How you are making money is a wonder. I really hope that the studios like you go bankrupt so we don't have to waste our time on politics when we want entertainment.

Out of Touch and Mean Spirited

This is just an animated form of political pandering from two of the least funny so called "comedians" who somehow are still cast in stuff despite never playing an actual role that wasn't written as themselves.

It's nothing but taking jabs at white people, at men, at tradition, with covid virtue signaling mixed in. And all the points they try to make are of stuff that is objectively false. Full of toilet humor done poorly, crude personalities and angry vengeful activism.

The public disliked the pilot so much that HBO actually blocked all comments on the trailer and in case you were wondering, it has nearly 160 thousand dislikes and 3.1 thousand likes.

The only good thing is the animation was done well. Apart from that, this is just propaganda made by two of Hollywoods most mean and bigoted crybullies. So out of touch it's actually embarrassing.

Quite possibly the worst show i have ever seen.

I really don't get why Rogan gets greenlit for anything. It's a typical "insert sentence enhancing swear word" garbage show. It tries to be edgy by throwing in words like "holocaust" etc to create shocking humour but just falls utterly flat. Stay away!

Lol Tried,I really tried I love clay nation and animation but this is beyond belief. Don't like to take sides when it comes to political entertainment, funny's, funny. But come on! The big revaluation that Santa could be a women has been done before in a great movie that was fun. Even the head elf trying to become Santa has been done. Guess I'm just a white supreme**t because I don't like the show. Lol Give it a try and decide for yourself. Hope you find more humor than I did. 🎄

Ugh! No Talent

Yeah, I guess jokes about raunchy and gross stuff was funny the first 20 years or so, but now it's just boring and stupid.

It's even boring and stupid to the younger generations, because they have been doused in raunchy and gross ever since the 90's. Raised on it, pretty much.

There was a time when shows were funny, hilarious even, and they were G rated. It takes talent to be funny and clean.

I'm starting to suspect that celebrities are a bit insecure, since they can't seem to stop beating us over the head with messages about what they consider relevant. Perhaps it's because they like to shout these messages to each other, as an identity badge, but don't really do the walk on most of these positions.

This is bad it hurts me

This is so bad that it hurts me. The world has never been so divided, and Christmas is supposed to be a nice special time when we all put aside our differences and try to come together. The people who made this clearly hate Christmas on a very deep level. I don't know why, and I don't really care why, but, they have tried to completely destroy a holiday that to me as a Christian is a special time of year. It is too rude and disgusting for children, and it is too boring for adults. I don't know what any of them were thinking when they decided to make this rubbish. I hated it, and from looking at the other reviews, a lot of other people seem to agree. This is not worth watching at all, If you feel like watching a Christmas movie, then Die Hard is always good (if you want action), and Jingle All The Way with Arnold Schwarzenegger is a fun family movie. This dumpster fire needs to be completely erased from history.
