Just in time for the holiday weekend, we have new episodes of our favorite show to binge! Stranger Things season 4 volume 2 is officially out and fans cannot wait to watch what happens next for our favorite characters. These two new episodes are supersized and action-packed, and there’s no doubt you’ll be on the edge of your seats the whole time while watching!

Stranger Things season 4 volume 1 introduced us to new characters we’ve already fallen in love with, like Eddie Munson (Joseph Quinn) and Dmitri Antonov (Tom Wlaschiha). We also got to travel to different locations such as Russia, Salt Lake City, Utah, and Lenora Hills, California. The show was right when they teased we’re not in Hawkins anymore!

A major storyline of Stranger Things season 4 is Jim Hopper (David Harbour) being held in a Russian prison, and Joyce Byers (Winona Ryder) and Murray Bauman (Brett Gelman) going to great lengths to try and free him. By the end of season 4 volume 1, they are able to reunite and save Hop — but they aren’t out of Russia just yet.

Spoilers ahead for Stranger Things season 4 volume 2.

Stranger Things season 4 volume 2 sees Hopper, Murray, and Joyce successfully escaping the Russian prison alongside Antonov and Yuri (Nikola Đuričko), but that’s still only half their battle. They manage to find a safe place to hide while they figure out how they can get back to America. Yuri claims he has a plane he can drive, but when they see this “plane,” they realize it’s not big enough. And there’s a high chance it won’t make it all the way to America.

By the end of episode 9, “The Piggyback,” however, Yuri is able to mend the aircraft after some talking to from Antonov, just in the nick of time to get out of Russia. The group is able to escape the country, though we don’t know what happens to Yuri, Antonov, and Murray. We can assume Murray probably goes home, but Yuri and Antonov don’t have a home in America. We hope we get to see more of the two new characters in Stranger Things season 5.

Do Hopper and Eleven reunite in Stranger Things season 4?

As for Hopper and Joyce, they arrive back in America and are driven to Hopper’s cabin by one of Dr. Owens’ (Paul Reiser) associates. When they arrive, Hop heads to Eleven’s door and surprises her. They finally reunite at the end of season 4, and we are so happy! Joyce also reunites with her sons and Mike (Finn Wolfhard).

Stranger Things season 4 has definitely been the most eventful one yet, and we’re so sad it’s over now! We can’t wait for Stranger Things season 5, which will mark the ending of the show. The final season does not have a release date yet, but keep up with us at Netflix Life for all the latest updates.
