Have questions?

How long will it take for me to receive my credit?

If you have insurance coverage with a provider in our network and have submitted a request for eligibility, we’ll submit your claim and wait for it to be accepted and paid. This initial step takes 4–5 weeks.

Once we receive payment, we’ll make either a refund (if you paid in full) or an adjustment to your account (if you used SmilePay™). If you paid in full using Single Pay, the refund will be credited to the credit or debit card you have on file. If you used SmilePay, the adjustment will be applied to your balance, and any remaining amount will be credited to your debit or credit card. Refunds take 2–3 weeks to process. Adjustments are processed immediately.

If you don’t have a valid credit or debit card on file, we’ll mail you a check for the balance.

How will I receive my credit?

If your account has a SmilePay™ balance, we will first apply a credit toward it. Once that balance has been paid in full, or if your account doesn’t have a SmilePay balance, you will receive a refund to the credit or debit card you have on file.

Will I be notified when my account has been credited?

Yes. We’ll send you an email detailing your adjustment and/or refund, which you can verify by checking your bank statement or SmilePay™ statement.

If you receive only a discount, that amount will be reflected immediately in your SmilePay balance (if you have one), or you’ll see it applied to your credit or debit card within 2–3 weeks.
