I followed the instructions for curbside pickup once at HD Sawgrass and evening received a reply saying someone would be bringing my order out in 5 minutes. The only issues I have are with the electrical plug on the rear, which is fragile plastic. Also, there is no way this gun will hold 32 long guns. It has slots for 32 but I would say 24 will maybe fit. by

Contacted Sports Afield support, who informed me that "sometimes safe is closed at factory before glue has set"...they suggested a few days of airing out and baking soda (nothing has worked). So they knowingly ship the units with chem smell embedded in safe. This smell cannot be healthy, especially in enclosed areas, where most safes are located. Chem Smell is still strong and intolorable despite a month of airing out and trying baking soda, charcoal, ceder chips etc. Strongly considering returning unit for different brand. by Hi Slapshot, Thanks for the purchase of a Sports Afield safe. The odor is from a silicone sealant used in the manufacturing process that is not toxic, but is not odorless. We have recently updated this product with a odorless silicone sealant. All materials used in the construction of our products are Non-Toxic and not harmful. The odor will dissipate and I am sorry your is taking so long. You may eliminate the smell with odor absorbing spray or scented desiccant or you may also return the item for another if you are not satisfied by contacting our Customer Service Dept. at 888.792.4264 x705.

The number of guns you could put in here is exaggerated unless you are looking to just pile them in. Prior to production, we put the design to the test, loading it up with rifles to confirm that as many long guns will fit as we have designed that particular safe for - keeping in mind that scoped rifles, taller rifles or rifles with accessories on them could affect the gun count and, of course, as you know, the shelves on the right side of the safe would need to be removed making room for the full 30! Besides the capacity of the safe it is easily configured and has the door storage pockets. The override keys were also a featured I was looking for in the event I encountered an issue with the electronics. by

My one and only MAJOR complaint is the horrid chemical smell. I may have to return it. by Hi Shaun, Thank you for your interest and your purchase of a Sports Afield Safe! What you are experiencing is not uncommon and if left open and allowed to air out for a day or two should dissipate. There are a few things you can do to hurry the process along. Some household items that help with the odor include: rolling up newspaper and putting it inside of safe, baking soda, cedar chips, ground coffee beans, and of course spray fresheners like Febreeze and such. There are also a few products online that help absorb the odor. Received my second sports afield safe today i’m happy to report "this one" arrived undamaged and in perfect condition. I had to reject the 1st safe because the whole one side had been rubbed free of the finish exposing bare metal. Home Depot discounted the 2nd safe for the troubles I incurred. by

The door is as advertised, the rest is just sheet steel. A drill and a saws all and you’re in. Scratched during shipping, can’t get the nasty desiccant smell out. upside, my guns are locked up by
