Open your conversation with that person, then tap the blue shield > UNMATCH FROM [their name] > YES, UNMATCH. As such, it is possible to “re-match” with someone you’ve already unmatched. That said, after unmatching with anyone, your history with them is deleted. If you re-match with them, your past messages won’t reappear.
What happens when you unmatch on Tinder?Unmatching with someone is akin to unliking them, and it will remove both parties from each other’s match list. It’s also the closest you can get to blocking them, as unmatching will delete all of your history. Does Tinder tell you if someone unmatched?Life goes on as normal for the person you unmatch. They are not notified that you’ve unmatched them, and they will not be able to retrieve any messages they sent you. That said, if someone has disappeared from your match list, that doesn’t necessarily mean they blocked you. The person might not noticeIf the person you deleted has several matches in their list, that person will not be notified of any deleting unless they scan the list looking for you. You will not be able to read previous messagesWhatever message thread you and that person exchanged earlier when you were matched will disappear after you unmatch the same person. Did you swipe right without paying enough attention, and now you’re matched with someone you’re not interested in? Or maybe they said something in a message that turned you off? No matter your reason for doing it, unmatching with someone on Tinder is easy. Here’s how to do it: 1. Tap the person’s profile pic and open the chat queue. 2. Androids: Tap the three-dot icon (…) near the top right. 3.
