For those of you who do not understand Spanish, the title simply means “Where there is love, there is pain.”
This old Spanish proverb will make sense to the people who have fallen in love. And I don’t mean the kind of love that just disappears after one day or one week. I’m talking about the love that stay’s for a very very long time. Even after the one you love leaves you. Whatever reason it may be, the pain will stay.
You will try to forget it. You will try to resist it. But true love will hurt you. No matter how short your time may be with the one you love, if you truly love her/him, the moment they leave you, you will be hurt. And it will be unbearable.
You will lament as each day passes, but that will not help. Nothing will seem to help. But amongst all the chaos, there is only one thing that will. And that is yourself. You will be the only one capable to pick yourself up from the abyss that you have fallen into. You will feel the power emerging from your core. The power to overcome your pain and walk past the hurt you’ve faced. And the day that you do this, will be the greatest day of your life.
