Summary

The Big Red Chicken is putting on a magic show, when a bunny shrinks the Big Red Chicken and steals his bowtie and his magic wand. Now Dora and Boots must help the Big Red Chicken enter the Magic World so that they can locate the bunny and help the Big Red Chicken grow back to his normal size.

Trivia

• This is the last episode to premiere in 2008.
• This is the 106th episode of the show.
• This is the first episode Backpack sings her standard full song with her new voice actress (excluding the marching band version in The Backpack Parade).
• Big Red Chicken shrinks little which means he's called the Little Red Chicken (just like in the storybook in The Legend of the Big Red Chicken), it's because he's got the bunny rabbit's blue ribbon.
• When Dora tells Big Red Chicken that he's got the bunny's blue ribbon, one can see closely that he's shaking his head "No" even though he does and that Dora is right.
• Dora and Boots don't sing the Travel Song in this episode, they instead sing Abracadabra and getting Big Red Chicken's magic wand back.
• It is unknown how Swiper and the Fiesta Trio got into Big Red Chicken's magic hat since they never even knew the magic word on how to get in.

Summary

The Big Red Chicken is doing magic tricks and for his first trick, he turns Boots into a chicken. When he tries to turn him back into a monkey, he lets out a big sneeze that propels the magic wand into Magic land. Dora and friends set off on a magic-filled journey in order to get the wand fixed so Boots can become a monkey again.

• This is the 137th episode of the show.
• The early Season 1 version of swiping music is used.
• This is the first episode seeing Boots as a chicken, however, he's still a monkey, he's just half chicken, half monkey, which technically makes him a chunky.
  • Because of this, he calls himself "Chicken Boots". Another instance will be when Boots caught the Little Chicks in Dora's Fantastic Gymnastics Adventure.
• When Boots turns into a chicken and wants to be a monkey again, this is the same as when Benny turns into a potato by himself by accident in The Big Potato and wants to be a bull again.
• This episode is very similar to The Big Potato and The Big Red Chicken's Magic Show.
• Isa and Benny don't appear in this episode.
• Dora and Boots don't travel with each other in this episode because Boots is a chicken and he can't travel with Dora when he's a chicken, Dora is instead traveling with Big Red Chicken, but she, of course, still has the viewer at home to help.
