Dragon age: inquisition amulet of power glitch

Got my first amulet of power for Cole so decided to look up location of ones for inquisitor. Found in wiki that these are glitched and they disappear?? Is this right? Should I wait until they get patched before getting them?

When I played I noticed you have infinite Amulets of Power for Cole in Skyhold because there is a little chest with 3 things in it for him right next to him in the attic of that tavern and one of them is an Amulet of Power, so as long as you leave one item, the amulet will always return.

I beg to differ. I have an Blackwell who is glitched and cannot be recruited. He is stuck in his battle armour and a conversation with him cannot be initiated to recruited. So there are glitches still in he game.

Just wanted to know if it was worth tracking down the inquisitors amulets of power. If people know for a fact they aren't glitched, please say

Ah, my bad. I didn't use Cole anyway in my party, so it was a bit of a waste. It was funny that he knew every single ability in the game and was benched the whole time, though.

I think he meant that the exploit of multiple amulets of power has been fixed, not that all glitches have been eliminated from the game.

At any rate, I don't know (and I don't think anyone else knows at this point) what has been eliminated by the latest patch and which amulets are still available. Sorry.

So according to the new patch they fixed a loot exploit, was the infinite amulet of power glitch was the one? or can we still do it?

The chest exploit for all items still works, except for the amulets of power. Those have been patched.

Hopefully they don't "fix" the exploit further.

Ahh, hadn't checked the chest exploit, but was worried about them fixing it to be honest. Not because I abuse it, but because the most likely fix seems likely to cause issues.

As is, chests with random contents are simply marked as full or empty, boolean, simple 1 or 0. For them to instead keep track of the contents of every chest in the game would require far more memory, which I fear would bloat the save files and lead to issues similar to what PS3 Skyrim suffered from.

I was able to abuse this to no end for Cole. I'm glad this was patched. With every tree except the archery tree filled just made him ridiculously powerful.

i am sad people dont have self-control. they need to patch because you cant stop using the exploit. think is broken??dont use. it is simple as that.

Not only did they fix the amulet of power exploit in Crestwood, but now amulet of power are not spawning in various locations. So far, I have experienced the following "missing" amulets:

Forbidden Oasis final cold door: no inquisitor amulet of power
Broken Mirror in Fade during Here Lies the Abyss: no inquisitor amulet of power
Valammar deep road: no amulet of power for Varric
Killing Imshale: no amulet of power for cole

I've seen reports that High Dragons aren't dropping amulets of power for Ironbull and Varric as well.

Say goodbye to amulets of power. They are no very rare. Amulets of Power from war missions supposedly still show up, and I did find Blackwall's amulet of power in Adamant fortress.

And the game just got a lot less fun and more of a chore to play... what a shame. I guess people aren't content if their not spoiling the fun of the others in a single player game >_<

Nothing of Great value & Worth was ever gained without some form of chance taking or risk.

Was someone able to ask them if the removal of various amulets of power was intentional or not?

More spoiled than the stuff in the fridge.

The hell is Bioware trying to do? Wasn't it already enough that they fixed the exploit? Why'd they take away the other amulets that are legit, supposed to be there? They're really trying to make the game a grind-fest, wtf.
