By giving the equivalent of just one hour of pay, a woman is supported by access to important Dress for Success programs, services, and tools that can help her achieve economic advancement. in Australia and around the globe through the supply of professional clothing, career development tools and support resources that help women gain, or regain, their financial independence. How we’re getting involved (and how you can, too!)Empower Hour is a fantastic initiative by Dress for Success that gives everyday Australians the opportunity to “change a woman’s life in just 5 minutes”. How it works: We encouraged our team to each donate 1 hour out of their yearly salary to help improve the employability of disadvantaged women. Our contributions will help fund programs such as career development workshops and coaching sessions, and help equip women with basic things like professional work attire and styling sessions, so they can attend job interviews with dignity and confidence. Donating just 1 hour of pay is all it takes to make a difference in someone else’s life. We invite our peers in the beauty industry to get together and celebrate Empower Hour with us. Clothing DriveWe’ also held a clothing drive at The Global Beauty Group HQ to add a little fun and fashion to International Women’s Day, all in the name of a good cause. We donated professional work and office attire, that’s still in great condition to our local Dress for Success Boutique. The Dress for Success Boutique is staffed by passionate volunteers who work to professionally ‘suit up’ disadvantaged women looking to enter the workforce.
