Elden Ring rune farming early Reddit

Hi everyone. I am playing this game very poorly and losing so many runes. Is there a way to farm them in early game? (I defeated Margit and I am currently going through Stormveil Castle)

Take the teleportal thing behind the third church of marika to the bestial sanctum. Run down the hill past the huge guard and all the little guys are worth 1000+ each. Save at Grace site at the bridge and kill ‘em over and over.

level 2

Yeah this is definitely one of the best early on. There is like 30 of those dudes. Definitely best to aggro them one at a time because in a pack they can easily overwhelm you

level 2

dude this is awesome thank you so much! I got like 15k runes after 2 runs.

level 2

I will try that thank you!

Early game you can level up a ton just by playing dungeons and fighting bosses. Grinding runes by doing stuff that isn't fun isn't required or even really beneficial

Have you tried exploring Limgrave for caves/mines/bosses? If Stormveil feels too tough right now there's other stuff you can do first

level 2

I am having a lot of trouble making my way through the castle yeah. I have to do some research for better weapons definitely.

Limgrave tunnel is a good spot for some easy runes as long as you have a striking weapon, and the miners there have a chance to drop smithing stones [1]. 460 runes at just under a minute per pass of the five in the first room as long as you don't aggro the rats. Pretty safe place compared to the vulgar militiamen by the Bestial Sanctuary, and getting your weapons to +3 will definitely help you out if they're not there yet .

Greyolls dragonbarrow. Just make sure you have torrent and a decent weapon. But the little troll looking dudes are 1100/piece. And each run through you'll get about 25k. Takes about 5-10 minutes.

And if you kill Greyoll.... well it's a lot of runes very easily gotten. Just make sure you use the boosts for runes as well

Have you been south to take on the Weeping Penninsula and Castle Morne before heading to Stormveil? Also, best early game farm (if you’re so inclined) is the giant ball just down from Lenne’s Rise.

level 1

Are you spending your runes and leveling up? This might sound obvious but once you have the "needed" amount, teleport to a grace point and spend them.

level 2

I am doing that but sometimes I lose colossal amounts of runes before going to a grace point.

The giant at the grace where meet Melina. Run in, dodge the bolts, shoot him once with a bow to lure him out, then kill him at your leisure. I couldn't get past the three? giants past that, so I used this one to practice. Gives ~1k runes per kill.

Alternatively, in the forrest there are three large bears that are fairly easy to kill and give 1k each.

Those are the earliest farming spots I found to pay for Stonesword keys.

All depends on how 'you' want to play the game.

I don't want to spend hours and hours to figure out how to kill a boss. My time is important to me. Basically I'm over leveling so that is I play through it so it's not that bad. I'm using several build guides to make my own final version.

Plus I can always respec if I want to make any of those specific builds. Generally the several int/dex builds I've looked are all similar in stats. Starting class is either prisoner or astrologer but as they all say that's just to get started. You can always respect and move your points around. Big difference between the builds is what you use for armor, talismans and spells. Weapons and staffs are pretty much all similar. I'm sure if you look up the warrior class you can find several similar builds.

I recommend looking at ColdBwoyy or Nizar GG builds for ideas. Not sure they have one based off the warrior class but they might.

When you fall off a cliff, just grab Torrent and ride back to that spot where you fell and you should see your runes on the edge where you fell so that you can recover them.

That way if you don't want to continue with the fight you can at least recover your runes as you can pick them up while remaining on Torrent and get out of there. It takes several seconds for NPCs to react so you have time to pick them up.

Where can I farm runes Elden Ring early?

Caelid. The best early game rune farm in Elden Ring is in Greyoll's Dragonbarrow, which is a higher level area you can access via a portal from near the start of the game. First, head over to the Third Church of Marika Site of Grace in the northeast of Limgrave.

What is the fastest way to get runes in Elden Ring early?

Just northeast of there is a small viking camp, with a few horseback enemies between the camp and the Site of Grace. Each horseback enemy will net you about 300 runes and clearing out the entire camp of the wolves and vikings will put at about 2,000 Runes per run.

Can you AFK farm runes in Elden Ring?

AFK rune farming has been plaguing Elden Ring's PvP for months. It allows Elden Ring players to earn runes without doing anything, and the strategy is relatively simple to execute. The host has to find a hiding spot, lure other players into their game, and wait for the invader to either die or leave.

What's the best early on farming spot Elden Ring?

The Troll Near Third Church Of Marika. The Third Church of Marika can be easily found in the eastern region of Limgrave near the Mistwood. The church presents one of the best farming spots for the early game in Elden Ring. There is a single troll near the church wandering alone in the area.
