Top critical review
1.0 out of 5 starsWorst filter I ever seen
Reviewed in the United States on February 28, 2019
After watching a U-Tube video I cut one apart. RUST fell out, the inside filter media went 1 3/4 around and the cylinder was CARDBOARD with a plastic coating, this was the new ONE! I removed the one from my car, 3000 miles drained it and cut the top off, the cardboard center which is the actual filter media had failed at the bottom allowing the oil to pass through without filtering it. I was blown away as I always thought Fram was a top of the line filter.

Jun 12, 2021 We have data from a professional testing firm, the Fram Ultra/Fram Titanium ( same media, different base plate hole pattern) are the kings of filtration for your automotive engines that are readily available, and ok to use to hold warranty. At least in the USA because the Magnusen-Moss Warranty Act lets us use this filter while holding warranty.
You do not need to run the crap Hyundai filter. I know I had a destroyed Hyundai engine ( because of their chose of soft piston metallurgy ) with one on and they tried to bring it up as an issue and all I said was "I have every legal right to run this filter and you have to honor warranty as it is stated in this law." Nothing was said after that and I received my new Hyundai motor.
Here is the link to THIS test's origin on the Bobs The
Oil Guy site. A Youtube video is in the works for THIS test. Below are links to other tests the author did on Youtube before he can down with BAD covid. The third video is still in the works. .

I wouldn't put a Fram Oil Filter on any car. Fram is the bottom of the barrel.

I wouldn't put a Fram Oil Filter on any car. Fram is the bottom of the barrel. Their are 5 different quality variations of Fram filters, YOU only see the Yugo version. Fram Ultra and Titanium are one of the top three filters on Bob's The Oil Guy site that has many automotive engineers and lubrication engineers
on it. Honda, and GM and others have used fiber end filters for years as OEM filters. The top three Frams have metal endcaps and advanced filtering media. YOU just did not know it. Here we see why the Fram Ultra is king, with data not allowed to most. That's fine, you can go with your uneducated emotional choice from bad data and internet rumor from one tooth hillbillies. When I bought my Kona I drove home and put a Fram Ultra on. They are that good. Some say it IS the top filter on Bob's The
Oil Guy site. This test gives data to the commoners that proves what the experts already knew.

I wouldn't put a Fram Oil Filter on any car. Fram is the bottom of the barrel. I've felt the same as you for 40+ years. Here's my short list of never buy.
When a manufacture keeps doing the same poor job of design/manufacturing for decades I add them to my "DO NOT BUY" list.
I was hoping hyundai wouldn't be added to my list, oh well
moving on.
ALL GM products.
..New 1974 Pontiac GTO pos too many issues to list
..New 1996 Cadillac Catera pos too many issues to list
..New 1983 chevy S10 blazer pos too many issues to list

Hyundai

..dying burning electric cars.
