Hell let loose connection to host lost

Hi papercutz88,

Thanks for trying those steps.

So we can ensure you have the best connection, can you please follow the steps in the links below, and reach out to your ISP to open your NAT.

Troubleshooting Network Connectivity
Clear download cache
Flush your DNS Cache[www.whatsmydns.net]

Can you please ensure your NAT (Network Address Translation) is set to Open or Moderate? You will need to contact your ISP or router manufacturer for information on how to perform these steps.

If you are still experiencing connection issues after performing the steps in the links above and opening your NAT. Can you please tell us the following information?

  1. What country are you currently living in?
  2. Steam Download Region (Steam Settings, Downloads)
  3. What is your internet speed? Internet Speed Test[www.speedtest.net]
  4. Are you using a VPN?
  5. What is your NAT set to?

We look forward to hearing back from you.

same problem and i excluded the entire game and i still cant get into a game, it stutters on start up and when i try to join a server it says ;lost connection to host

How can this be an individual users fault when almost half the server gets disconnected at the same time?

Hi both,

Thanks for getting in touch with us.

Unfortunately, the issue does not occur for all players, and most often the issue is resolved with the above steps.

As TheBladeKiller mentions, their firewall is causing the issue for them.

jdizmal -

Can you please go through all of the steps and the two articles in the above posts and test the game?

Get back to us when you can.

Hi ~r~wet,

We're sorry to hear you are having this issue.

Can you please check that your anti-virus/firewall is not blocking the game at all?
If so, please can you add exceptions for the files.

You may also add the following as exceptions:

  • Program Files (x86)\EasyAntiCheat\EasyAntiCheat.exe
  • Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Hell Let Loose\EasyAntiCheat\EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe
  • Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Hell Let Loose\Launch_HLL.exe
  • Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Hell Let Loose\HLL\Binaries\Win64\HLL-Win64-Shipping.exe
  • Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Hell Let Loose\HLL_BugReportUploader.exe
  • Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Hell Let Loose\HLL.exe

Didnt work :(

Greetings ~r~wet,

Sorry to hear that this is happening - would it be possible to see your system information so that we can try to help? To do this:

  1. Hold down the Windows Key and press R, the Run dialogue should appear > Type dxdiag in the available text field > Click OK
  2. Click Save All Information > Save the file DxDiag.txt to your Desktop so it is easy to find
  3. Open the .txt file, copy all the contents > Paste all the contents to a free text hosting service such as //justpaste.it, //textuploader.com or //freetexthost.com
  4. Copy the link to your post

Just now as tried to join for the 5th time, Lost Connection To Host

Greetings ~r~wet,

Thanks for that! Can you please update your graphics card drivers and retest?

  1. Go to the official NVidia download centre here[www.nvidia.com]
  2. Using the dropdown menus, fill in your graphics card information and press "Search"
  3. In the new page, click on Download and then Download again
  4. Right-click over the file and select Run as administrator
  5. If you are prompted by Windows User Account Control, click on Yes. The installer will prompt you for an extraction path. Most users should be fine with the default path.
  6. Once the driver install has completed, the extracted files will automatically be removed from your PC. Choose OK.
  7. You will next be prompted to accept the NVIDIA software license agreement. Read the contents and then if you agree, click "AGREE AND CONTINUE" to proceed.
  8. Next, choose Custom (Advanced). Then click NEXT.
  9. Select Perform clean install and then click on NEXT.
  10. Once the installation has finished, reboot your PC one more time to complete the installation.

Actually if anything its worst than before, I’m just trying to play a matchhhhhh

Greetings ~r~wet,

Sorry to hear that - let's try the below to see if it helps:

Setting Hell Let Loose to High Priority

  1. Run Hell Let Loose
  2. Press the Windows key and type Task Manager and Run as Administrator
  3. Under the tab "Details", find the HLL-Win64-Shipping.Exe file
  4. Right-Click and select "Set Priority" and click on "High"

Power Options

  1. Right-Click on your Windows key and click on Power Options
  2. Click on Additional power settings
  3. Change your power plan to "High performance"
  4. Fully shutdown your PC (not just a restart)
  5. Turn on and retest the game

Additionally, set the body counter slide to the minimum value in the game options.
