How do I find out my SIM number?

Finding your SIM Card number depends on your phone. See below for detailed instructions by brand.

Find My SIM Card Number on an iPhone:

Go to Settings > General> About. Then scroll down and locate the ICCID (SIM Card) number.

Find My SIM Card Number on an Android

1. Go to Settings > About Phone > Status, then scroll down and locate the ICCID (SIM Card) number.

2. Remove the back cover and the battery, slide out the SIM Card and locate the SIM Card number on the card.

Find the SIM Card Number on my actual SIM Card

Insert a paper clip or a SIM-eject tool into the hole beside the tray to eject the tray.
Remove the SIM Card and locate the SIM number on the card.

Your SIM card number (also called ICCID) is normally printed on your SIM card and/or your SIM card packaging, it is always a good idea to keep your SIM card packaging in case you ever need to check your SIM card number at a later date. Dependant on your mobile device you may be able to locate this number within your phone settings. Follow the below steps to check.

For iOS

Go into Settings
Scroll down and tap General
Tap About
Scroll down to ICCID. This will start with "89" followed by your SIM card number.

For Android & Other operating systems

You will need to check your device manual for information on how to do this. You should be able to find this online if you do not have a hard copy.

Most operating systems do not have the functionality to check the SIM card number from the mobile settings. You may need to remove your SIM card from your device and check this manually.

I’ve been asked for my iPhone’s SIM number. How do I find it?

Your iPhone’s SIM number is technically called the ICCID, which stands for Integrated Circuit Card Identifier. It usually consists of 19 or 20 characters, and is both printed on your SIM card and stored inside it.

The ICCID is a unique serial number and is specific to your SIM card. It’s one of the terms defined in our dictionary of tech jargon.

How to find the SIM number on your iPhone: Why would I need my iPhone’s SIM number?

There are lots of occasions when it would be useful to know your iPhone’s SIM number.

You could be asked to provide it when registering your phone, changing phone number, accessing online services from your mobile network or for other verification reasons. It is also useful to know it in case your iPhone gets stolen.

We would therefore suggest you take note of it now; you’re likely to need it in future, and in the case of theft, you won’t be able to find the ICCID easily after disaster strikes.

How to find the SIM number on your iPhone

The most obvious way of finding your SIM number, or ICCID, is to take the SIM out of your phone and read the digits off the card itself. Generally speaking you’ll need the last 6 digits. But a slightly quicker and more convenient method – and a much quicker and more convenient method if you can’t find the SIM card removal tool – is to read it from the iPhone’s Settings.

Getting your SIM number, or ICCID, through your iPhone is very straightforward. Here are the steps you need to follow to get your SIM number.

Open Settings on your iPhone
Scroll down the list until you’ll reach the General tab and tap on it
Click on the ‘About‘ tab
Scroll down the list until you’ll see ‘ICCID’ and a series of number beside.

That’s your SIM number! Take note of it, it might be helpful.

Bear in mind, however, that the number listed here under ICCID is likely to be slightly different from the number printed on the back of the SIM card: we found that the iPhone gave us a longer number. But you’ll see that the key part of the two numbers – the last six digits – is the same.
