How long are Vans supposed to last?

Black and grey checkboard slip ons have been with me for two years. A few nicks on the top but I still wear them from time to time.

My first pair was white and black checkerboard. The rubber on the sides wore down rather nicely in 8 months then a couple of months later, the sole began wearing thru.

Gray laceups with black laces and steel eyelets. Had for a year, have held rather well. And go with nearly everything

They're inexpensive so don't feel too bad. Some wear is good for them.

How long should you wear Vans?
