Discuss Pricing herringbone tiling in the UK Tiling Forum | Tile Advice Forum area at TilersForums.com
Hi,
I haven't fixed herringbone pattern since the eighties so don't have much idea how long to allow for a job. Can anyone say how much longer percentage-wise this pattern takes verses straight tiling? The job in question is feature bathroom walls if that makes any difference.
Thanks in advance.
I would say it takes at least twice as long as normal tiling...
This job was 15 m2 and took me about 4 and a half days...

Tiled this in a day......... about 9m.. returned externals slowed me down a tad. Price was more than normal, to say the least.

And he ware's his underpants outside his trousers...... "wears"..... sorry, couldn't help myself. Everyone has been getting off lightly recently since the drastic reduction of f***s given by the spelling Sheriff

tiles set on a diagonal look far nicer and are slightly easier to fix when set in a border as you can see with the picture Andy put up.

How I would say it takes at least twice as long as normal tiling... Hi! Can
see you put an extra row of tiles at the top of your herringbone, am thinking of putting a black box trim on the top of my beveled metro white tiles (herringbone) with grey grout - in your opinion will this work?
