Pros: "Danielle the woman who was handling everyone complaining at the gate. She was the only person helping anyone with whatever she could. Also the crew, weren’t properly stocked with anything, not even water. They did their best to work with the lack of supplies and information they were given. Otherwise I felt like I was in a bad version of the twilight zone. And I love that show."

Cons: "Absolutely everything except for the crew listed above. The delay was never informed to anyone until check in- even then the gate’s LCD screen wasn’t even updated with a delay. They said they had to call British airlines to ask them to change the information! No one was allowed into the lounge for a 5 hour delay which is horrible. Considering the airport was under construction and the restaurants all closed an hour before boarding. It was horrible. I missed work because of this and my day rate is 800$ and all I got was a lousy $100 voucher. If Alaska airlines had, I don’t know let everyone into the lounge and provided us with more respect and something in return maybe it would be so bad. But right up to three of the boarding crew (not Danielle) who were YELLING at people. People who were tired and confused. It was the worst experience and I am a global flyer with my company."

Furthermore i accidently forgot my credit card in my suitcase which was at a place where i could not get it of course. I was dying with hunger but the stewardess refused to give me something to eat or let me pay later or do something to make me feel good."

Pros: "I love the small planes and the overall friendliness of the pilot and the other employees - reservationists, ground crew, and others in the terminal. Once I landed in Nantucket, I had a 1 1/2 hour layover to Hyannis. When I went to check in with the reservationist, she asked if I wanted to get to Hyannis faster or if I had business on the island. I said I would like to get to Hyannis as quickly as I could, so she put me on the next flight which left within 15 minutes. After a long flight from LA to Boston, then to Nantucket, and then to Hyannis, it was nice to get home earlier than expected. I live on the Cape, and I love that I can fly into Hyannis. Then I only have a 25 minute ride home."

Cons: "At the Nantucket airport, they don't let you through security until your flight is called. I heard mine called and went up but the woman at the desk said she hadn't heard it so wouldn't let me through. Ten minutes later, I'm being paged over the intercom. Again, I wasn't let through until I tracked down someone from the airline. By the time I finally got through, my flight had gone and I needed to be rebooked. Incredibly frustrating as the intercom is the only way to know what's going on with your flight, so I couldn't look at a board or anything to know the status."

Pros: "It was a brief, smooth, enjoyable flight."

Cons: "My checked suitcase weighing <30lbs. was not put on the plane because of a weight constraint (combined weight of passengers and their luggage). I collected my suitcase from the airport the next day. Of course, airplane safety is a must, but I saw others dealing with their luggage also having been "bumped". Traveling this way is unreliable and, for me, less than satisfactory."

Cons: "The flight was cancelled because of engine trouble. As a result we miss our connecting flight to our final destination."

Thanks Cape Air."

Pros: "It was my first solo flight, as well as first flight in a small plane. Quick, easy check in and boarding in Mayaguez, PR. In San Juan, exiting and meeting family was not easy, due to terminal design. Overall, great experience."

The evening meal was horrific, who puts RICE with Irish stew? There was no breakfast served even though we were told there was one coming. The seats were very uncomfortable, the decliner didn’t stay declined. The entertainment was good, except every Spotify podcast was cut short. Attendants were nice. The flight itself was fine.

When American airways changed the flight from 3.30 to 3.25, the 3rd party company failed to file for our updated itinerary so British air/American air bumped us to the next flight at 9.20pm. We have long been loyal to kayak feeling it provides the best breadth of options and good pricing. Now we may use kayak to see all the options but I can’t booking directly with kayak anymore after this complete disaster. We ended up renting a car and driving from jfk to Boston, getting home 23 hours after our journey had started, stressed, beyond exhausted and now have to return the rental car. Thanks kayak."

No one had notified us of our new booking on a 9:10 flight to Boston. No one at American or British Airways could provide us with an earlier departure or compensate us to take alternative transportation. Our 9:10 flight was then delayed until 10:50 pm. We arrived in Boston at 12:02 am, 11 1/2 hours after our arrival at JFK from Rome. This was not a very friendly welcome home. We never would have booked such an extended delay as we only live 4 hours from New York City."

Which there was a lot of. But then he would announce for everyone to go back to their seats. It wasn't huge bumps, just a little rough. and it woke everyone up by announcing it multiple times."

I told her I still have 45 minutes to make it, and she rudely just tells me to get in another line to pay for a new ticket. LUCKILY someone in the priority line saw I was having a problem, a customer not an agent, and she told me to try to talk to someone on her side. After 3 agents told me no one finally told me yes. I made my flight but just by a hair. If the agents would have been around to help or been willing to help me from the moment I spoke to them this would not have been a problem. Thanks for almost ruining Christmas for me. When I spoke to others everyone told me they always have issues with AA. Will never fly AA again."

After two hours we were allowed to get off the plane, 20 minutes later back onto the plane, backed away from the gate and then pulled into a different gate and were told to get back off the plane. At this point we were given no info or direction but to go talk to special services if we want to re-book a different flight (sold out until at the earliest 8:15pm). After about an hour they announce they are re-boarding the original plane, takes another 45 minutes to board the plane, then we are told two separate issues caused this lengthy delay one was a filter in the bathroom and the other was a thermostat... seems like very basic standard maintenance issues that could have been avoided with routine checks. We were offered zero compensation, the trip took over 6 hours in all to fly from Philadelphia PA to Boston MA; a trip I could have driven in less time. I continue to have issues with American Airlines and "mechanical" delays, the last flight i was on From Charlotte to Baltimore was delayed an hour due to a strap in the cargo area. I don't understand the logic behind the decisions made to hold the full plane over 5 hours instead of taking a 45 minute flight, but I will say the crew was very apologetic and handled the situation well."
