According to People, Pardi also cowrote Cardi B's "Bodak Yellow," Kanye West’s "Violent Crimes," and Ed Sheeran’s "South of the Border." In 2019, Fontaine released a mixtape, UNDER8ED, with Atlantic Records.

His stage name has an unusual origin.

It's not easy coming up with the perfect stage name. As Fontaine told People, he was initially inspired by Back to the Future character Marty McFly, and named himself Pardi McFly as a result. "Then, I thought to myself, 'JAY-Z is not going to do a song with somebody named Pardi McFly,'" he revealed. "So, I just dropped the McFly and I kept the Pardi."

As for the "Fontaine" in his name, the rapper used to work at Saks Fifth Avenue. "I used to walk past this Anne Fontaine store all the time, and I didn’t know exactly what it meant or what it sold, but I just knew Fontaine sounded hella important," Pardi told the publication. According to People, the rapper discovered "Jean de la Fontaine, a famed French poet and fabulist from the 17th century," and the name stuck.

They had an incredibly romantic Valentine's Day 2021.

Yes, Megan Thee Stallion and Fontaine are most definitely Instagram official. In fact, Pardi took to his account to reveal that he planned a special Valentine's Day for his girlfriend, which involved a private jet, lots of red roses, and a special menu with the title, "Pardi with a Hottie."

Also in February 2021, Megan Thee Stallion confirmed that she was dating Fontaine during an Instagram Live with her fans.

Fontaine has a daughter named Jordy Jr.

As reported by The Sun, Fontaine has a daughter called Jordy Jr. He regularly shares photos of her on his Instagram account.

The Grammy-winning rapper opened up about their relationship during the season two premiere of Facebook Watch's Peace of Mind with Taraji.

"My boyfriend does make me very happy. He definitely takes care of me emotionally," she said. "He makes my brain feel good. He makes my heart feel good."

She added that their emotional connection transcends any previous romance she's had. "That's a big thing for me, because I used to be so into the physical, right, like … but he moves me, he inspires me, and we just feel like a real team," she added. "He feels like a partner."

2020

April 2020: Before their romance begins, Pardi and Megan have a successful working partnership. On April 29, 2020, Megan Thee Stallion releases a remix of her hit song “Savage” with Beyoncé as a feature. Pardi has a a songwriter credit on the track as Jorden Thorpe.

August 2020: The Pardi and Megan collaboration continues with his songwriter credit on “WAP,” which is released on August 7, 2020. 

2021

February 2021: It's official! During a February 19 Instagram Live, Megan Thee Stallion confirms to fans that she's dating Pardison Fontaine. “I didn’t like what they was trying to say about Pardi,” Megan says, according to Elle. “’Cause he is so calm and so sweet and very protective.… That’s my boo and I really like him.

“I never said hot girls can't have boyfriends,” Megan continues. “Yeah, he my boyfriend.”

The two also have an extravagant Valentine's Day together. Pardi treats his girlfriend to a private jet and a special, personalized dinner menu, titled Pardi With a Hottie.

March 2021: It doesn't have to all be private jets and roses: Pardi shares a cute domestic moment to his Instagram of Megan just chilling at home. In her bonnet, no less! “SOMETHING ABOUT HER IN THAT BONNET BE SENDING ME,” he writes in the caption. “THEEPARDIGIRL.”

Pardi doesn't attend the 2021 Grammys with Megan in March, but he is supportive from a distance. He shows how proud he is of her four nominations by posting an Instagram Story before the ceremony starts. “The girl can't be stopped,” he writes, according to Elle. Megan wins best rap performance and best rap song for her “Savage” remix, as well as best new artist.

May 2021: On May 27, at the iHeartRadio Music Awards, the couple make their red-carpet debut.

June 2021: With the release of Meg's single “Thot Shit” on June 11, the couple prove they know how to be playful with each other. Megan confirms on Twitter that the song's first verse features Pardi’s voice in a voice mail. 

The two also attend the BET Awards together on June 27. Megan wins best female hip-hop artist and performs “Thot Shit.”

During a June 25 appearance on Houston radio show 97.9 The Box, Megan gushes about her love for Pardi, as well as her self-love: “First of all, he does make me happy, but my happiness comes from myself because I’m a happy lady. But like I said in the last interview, I got good energy around me right now. Everybody that’s a part of my life, definitely makes me feel good, keeps me encouraged. I love where I’m at working and writing and with my music so that always puts me in a good mood whenever I figure out what I want to say in a beat. And yeah, Pardi does make me happy too.”

October 2021: The “Hot Girl” rapper is a guest on the October 11 episode of Taraji P. Henson’s Facebook Watch series, Peace of Mind With Taraji, talking about how her relationship contributes to her peace. “My boyfriend does make me very happy,” she says on the show. “He definitely takes care of me emotionally. He makes my brain feel good. He makes my heart feel good.”

On October 20, Fontaine posts a recap of the couple’s one-year anniversary celebration, including a private chef and matching PJs. 

November 2021: Fontaine accompanies Megan to the Glamour Woman of the Year Awards. Those in the room see how supportive and loving Fontaine is toward Megan, cheering her on as she delivers her emotional speech. “I win a lot of awards as Megan Thee Stallion, but tonight I choose to accept this award as Megan Pete, a soon-to-be college graduate from Houston, a woman who has built a successful career in a male-dominated industry and musical genre, who has earned her respect from people that couldn’t look beyond my public persona," she tells the crowd. “I’ve naively trusted some wrong people at the wrong times and wound up in situations that were not beneficial to my well-being, I’ve been vulnerable and been taken advantage of. March 2022: On March 3, Fontaine posts what's basically a fan cam of Megan. The Instagram Reel celebrates all of her accomplishments from her Grammys, to her graduation from Texas Southern University, to her Glamour Women of the Year Award.
