It has to do with the length of garland that must be made in order to create the arch size you are looking for. If you imagine an arch being stretched out and laid flat against the ground, that would show you the length of the arch in linear feet. At that point, arches could just as easily be thought of as balloon columns. They are just curved into a different shape. What is the simple balloon arch formula? Though not perfect, this will get you close to the correct answer: For example, a 10 foot wide arch that is 10 foot tall would be approximately 20 linear feet. In all actuality, it is 24.9 feet in length, but this will get you to a much closer number than not having any idea at all. A chart for standard sized balloon arches and their approximate heights and widths is listed below.
You may have noticed that the double door arch was in multiple categories. This is because doors, entrances, shapes of arches, and placement can all vary. It is best to speak to your balloon decor designer about your event to know which category and size are you are looking for. What is the price per linear foot of a balloon arch? That’s a great question! Before we continue, let’s determine which type of balloon arch you are looking for. There are four main varieties of balloon arch. Each are priced differently and will be addressed as such. There is the standard classic decor air-filled balloon arch, the helium filled balloon arch, the new trendy organic balloon arch (or partial arch), and finally there is a catch-all category we will label a custom arch sculpture. We will first discuss prices on the helium arches, the air-filled, and then the price for cascading organic balloon arch options. Helium Arch Options
If you wish to add foils to your arch or if you wanted to do an all foil arch, that is typically priced in a per piece basis. Some companies still offer a per foot pricing, but have a small fee for each additional balloon. You can look to pay anywhere from $6 to $30 for most foil helium balloons. This difference in price is based on the size of the foil and the amount of helium that it holds or requires to float.
Though helium balloon arches can be placed outside, they typically are reserved for indoor events only as the elements outdoors can blown them around and make them less elegant. Whenever balloon decor is placed outside, there is a chance that the balloon decor company may charge an additional fee. Especially with helium balloon decor, some companies will charge an environmental impact type fee to help offset the releases of helium balloons into the environment. Air-filled Classic Balloon Arches The most common arch that we build and delivery for clients is the classic spiral balloon arch or packed design arch. This arch is built with clusters of up to 4 colors of latex balloons in a repeating pattern of some sort that creates a gorgeous display of festivity for an event. These arches are priced by the linear foot and are fairly simple to estimate for prices. Once you know the linear foot you are looking for, it is just a matter of asking the decorator which arch sizes are their standard sizes and then getting the price for that particular sized arch.
