The Kapil Sharma Show, one of India’s most popular stand-up comedy and talk shows, is returning for its fourth season this year. Host of the show, comedian Kapil Sharma, recently confirmed the return of the show by sharing a picture of himself on his Instagram account and writing, "New season, new look coming soon".

The first season of The Kapil Sharma Show premiered on 23 April 2016 and so far, a total of 387 episodes have been broadcast across three seasons.

The Kapil Sharma Show revolves around Kapil Sharma and his team, including Krushna Abhishek, Bharti Singh, Sumona Chakravarti, Kiku Sharda and Chandan Prabhakar, who are all residents of the Shantivan Non-cooperative Housing Society and play different comical characters. Until 2019, Navjot Singh Sidhu was the permanent guest of the show but he was later replaced by Archana Puran Singh. The first season of the show was produced by Kapil Sharma's production house K9 Productions in association with Frames Productions. The second and third seasons were jointly produced by Salman Khan Television and Banijay Asia with K9 Productions.

The host and face of the show, Kapil Sharma charges Rs 50 lakh per episode, as per ABP and News18. As per another report by DNA, Sharma took home between Rs 30 lakh to Rs 35 lakh per episode for the first two seasons, but hiked his fee to Rs 50 lakh per episode for season 3.

Krushna Abhishek

As per several media reports, Krushna Abhishek will not be a part of the upcoming fourth season of the show due to a fallout with the producers. Abhishek, who joined the show in 2018, took home Rs 10 to Rs 12 lakh per episode, as per ABP, News18 and DNA.

Bharti Singh

Bharti Singh, one of the most entertaining characters on the show, takes home a paycheque of Rs 10 lakh to Rs 12 lakh per episode, as per ABP, News18 and DNA. Besides The Kapil Sharma Show on which she has played characters like Titli Yadav and Kammo Bua, Singh has appeared on several other comedy shows as well. The 38-year-old has also appeared on Forbes India's celebrity 100 list.

Kiku Sharda

Kiku Sharda, who has been a part of the show since its first season, takes home between Rs 5 lakh to Rs 6 lakh per episode, as per ABP and News18. Over three seasons, Sharda has played the characters Damodar Jeth Malani, Lachha and Palak.
