A Quiet Place came out in 2018 to universal acclaim from critics and viewers alike. Now, it's time for the sequel to meet the high bar set by its predecessor. Thankfully, Part II delivers.
The movie is set in the same post-apocalyptic world invaded by alien creatures with an acute sense of hearing. As a result, humans must be very quiet if they want to survive. This time around, the Abbott family have to leave the confines of their home and venture into the unknown looking for civilisation. Evelyn, accompanied by her 2 young kids and newborn, enters uncharted territory hoping for a miracle, while new threats lurk at every turn.
Riveting, clever and scary, A Quiet Place Part II might not be quite as fresh as the original, but it's a worthy successor. The cast is still top-notch and the suspense will keep you glued to the screen. Watch it on the biggest screen possible.

Krasinski hasn't lost sight of the human drama that makes it all work. Full review What a pleasure to see a big, brash picture like this on the big screen.IndieWire

The intimacy of the storytelling tugs relentlessly at our anxieties for the duration.

Slash Film
A solid post-apocalyptic adventure with some horror flair, which is totally fine, but it's a clear step down from the first film.

Finely prepared leftovers, still tasty but with a faint staleness cutting into the flavor.

Empire Magazine
Serves up strong set- pieces, Millicent Simmonds shines and Krasinski remains a director to watch.

Total Film
Part II stands as a careful consolidation and continuation of its parent film rather than a departure, with the heart and hope needed to keep us invested.

USA Today
Doesn't quite live up to the refreshing feel or innovative novelty of the original 2018 hit... but the creatures are still freaky, the soundscapes are still interesting...

Variety
In a way, the sequel feels even more M. Night Shyamalan-esque, drawing out seemingly mundane sequences for maximum suspense as it does.

Collider
A sequel that both expands the world and digs deeper into the personal heart at its center.

Even if this sequel remains firmly in the shadows of the original, I wanted part three as soon as it was over.

Little White Lies
Let down by some laughably contrived screenwriting.

This is above all Simmonds' show, and she nails it.

Slant Magazine
John Krasinski is most in his comfort zone when the importance of family and legacy drives the film's tension.

Entertainment Weekly
Ultimately feels like three quarters of a very good movie chopped off from a whole.
