The classic series, Hunter X Hunter, is a favorite among many anime fans. Originally aired in 1999 and remade in 2011, the anime is one that is appreciated worldwide. Most fans would agree that the best aspect of the series is the lovable and complex characters. All of the characters have unique qualities that make them appealing and relatable.

They also have many different character traits, but one that viewers may overlook is their difference in ages. From infants to elders, here are the ages of all the main characters in Hunter X Hunter.

10 Meruem (40 Days Old)

The youngest, yet most frightening, character in the series is Meruem, King of the Chimera Ants and son of the Chimera Ant Queen. Despite his age, Meruem was recognized as one of the most intimidatingly powerful characters, especially after he engaged in an epic battle with Netero, resulting in both of their deaths.

He was merely 40 days old when he died, but as the offspring of a being rumored to come from the Dark Continent, Meruem's strength was often unmatched.

9 Gon Freecss (12 Years Old)

The main protagonist, Gon Freecss, was introduced to viewers at the age of 12. At his ripe, young age, Gon followed in his father's footsteps, left home, and set off to become a Hunter. As he grew older and developed into a young teen, he went through several trials and tribulations and made many friends and foes along the way.

By the end of the series, Gon had aged quite a bit and by then, he had earned his Hunter's License and turned 14 years old.

8 Killua Zoldyck (12 Years Old)

Similar to his best friend, Gon, Killua Zoldyck was also 12 years old at the start of his journey. Running away from his traumatic childhood, overprotective parents, and duties as the heir to the family business, Killua traveled far to take the Hunter Exam, where he met his friends Gon, Kurapika, and Leorio.

For the following couple of years, he kept by Gon's side as they took on new adventures, and by the end, Killua was 14 years old.

7 Kurapika Kurta (17 Years Old)

On the search for justice, vengeance, and redemption, Kurapika Kurta set forth to become a Hunter at age 17. As the only surviving member of the slaughtered Kurta Clan, he was on the hunt to kill those who murdered his family and find the last remaining trait of his people; their eyes.

While Kurapika was often blinded by rage, the love he had for his friends, Gon, Killua, and Leorio kept him focused and grounded.

6 Leorio Paradinight (19 Years Old)

The oldest among his friends, 19-year-old Leorio Paradinight, made his debut on the series as a spunky, comedic, lanky young man with a goal to become a wealthy doctor. He started his mission by entering the Hunter Exam, where he met his lifelong pals Gon, Killua, and Kurapika.

Leorio passed the Hunter Exam and continued his efforts as a medical student, all while being a major source of support for those around him. By the end of the series, he was 21 years old and had developed into a much-needed father figure role for Gon.

5 Hisoka Morrow (28 Years Old)

The terrifying, but strangely enticing, Hisoka Morrow, was 28 years old when he first appeared in the series. Hisoka was introduced as one of the hundreds of Hunter Exam examinees but didn't take long to stand out as a major threat for the main protagonists. His mysterious nature, carefree attitude, and conniving ways quickly established him as a character that was either truly loved or extremely hated by fans.

Either way, Hisoka's abilities, appearance, and personality solidified him as an unforgettable character among all viewers.

4 Chrollo Lucifer (26 Years Old)

Founder and head of the infamous Phantom Troupe, Chrollo Lucifer came onto the series as a 26-year-old menace to society. Despite being the main antagonist with plans for destruction and mass murder, shortly after his introduction, Chrollo was admired by fans due to his charming looks and charismatic personality.

Although tensions were high at times within the Phantom Troupe, Chrollo managed to keep the members together until the very end, showcasing his skills as a natural-born leader.

3 Ging Freecss (32 Years Old)

Born in 1967, 20 years prior to the birth of his son Gon, Ging Freecss was 32-years-old at the start of the series. He remained in the shadows and a mystery to viewers for most of the series until his debut during the Hunter Chairman Election Arc.

As a member of the Zodiacs, a group of 12 elite Hunters handpicked by Chairman Netero, he was called out of hiding to aid in determining the upcoming election rules. In doing so, he unexpectedly reunited with Gon after being separated for over a decade.

2 Issac Netero (120 Years Old)

Former chairman of the Hunter Association and arguably the most powerful Nen user in the entire Hunter X Hunter universe, Issac Netero lived to be 120 years old. Netero's influence was widespread and he impacted the lives of a majority of the other characters in significant ways.

His years of wisdom and experience were shown through his tactical fighting style, intense physical strength, and unbreakable mental fortitude. Many fans respect his character and acknowledge him as the anime legend that he is.

1 Biscuit Kreuger (57 Years Old)

Looks can be deceiving and for most viewers, this was the case when Biscuit Krueger was introduced. Despite her youthful appearance, she debuted as 57 years old woman. More commonly known as Bisky, she started as a competitor to Gon and Killua in the video game Greed Island but quickly became their ally and teacher, furthering their knowledge of Nen and improving their skills.

Bisky's cute looks, confusing age, ironically impressive strength make her character all the more interesting.
