Buneary can be evolved into Lopunny through increased friendship levels. To gain friendship with your Pokemon, you can engage in battle and have them collect items for you. Make sure to always prioritize having your desired Pokemon in your party. That way, your friendship levels will increase quickly as you advance through the game.
Over time, evolutions of several Pokemon have been altered or changed. More and more Pokemon have achieved evolution through friendship. Other Pokemon that utilize this method are Eevee, Golbat, Munchlax, and Pichu. Some Eevee evolutions, though, can only be evolved in the daytime and nighttime. There are many different attributes that come into play depending on the Pokemon you're attempting to evolve.
In Pokemon Legends: Arceus, it's important to build a bond with your Pokemon. Buneary is not an exception, as you need to have a fantastic friendship level in order to evolve it into Lopunny.
