Having ants in the house can be very irritating. Not only do they crawl all over the floor, but the family members in the house are also constantly distracted by them. They will routinely abandon tasks to go to the place where ants are and stomp on them. This will continue till players actually get rid of the ants. If players are wondering, stomping on the ants does not get rid of them.

While Virtual Families 2 had an option where players could get rid of the ants using household items, this is not the case in Virtual Families 3. The only way to get rid of the ants in this version of the game is to call the Exterminator. If players want to know how to do this, they can follow the simple instructions below.

• Pick up a family member.
• Drag them to the phone located in the office.
• Once the family member picks up the phone, players will see multiple options for calling a repair person.
• Players will now want to call an Exterminator. This will cost 75 coins.
• Once players have called an Exterminator, they will show up at the house in a while.
• Now, players just need to sit back and let the Exterminator do their job. Players must make sure that they do not switch off the game or interrupt the Exterminator. Otherwise, they will have to book the service again.

Steps

1. Make sure little dots (the ants) are moving down a path on the kitchen floor.
2. Make sure there is a brown jar (near the sink) and orange peels (by the trash and recycling bins)
3. Drag one of your family members (a child 14 years and older, or a parent) to the brown jar (a cinnamon jar). They will take it to the workshop to prepare it for the spray. Do not put them on another activity or get them distracted by a child; they will drop the cinnamon jar and it will never be recovered (meaning, you can't make the spray needed to kill the ants).
4. Wait patiently while they prepare it. Again, do not get them distracted. If you drop them on the cinnamon jar again in the workshop, you cannot redo the activity, meaning the ants will stay awhile!
5. When they're done preparing the cinnamon, drop them on the orange object by the trash bins. They will take it to the workshop to finish the spray (but don't bother them). After they're finished, they will spray it on the ants in the kitchen and get rid of them.

Notes

• There is a glitch where you may still get ants, even if they have been removed permanently.
• If you praise a family member who is stomping ants prior to permanently removing them, you can get the "Ants in my pants!" achievement.
• Getting rid of the ants, in addition to permanently removing them, gives the "Ant Terminator" goal.
