How to listen to music on a plane Spotify

You are in a flight but realize your flight doesn’t have Wi-Fi, so how to kill the boring time in this long journey? Bring a book but you realize that you can not be focus on the content you are reading. Nothing is as good as relaxing yourself by listening to music.

So you open Spotify app on your mobile phone, but it says you are offline and unable to listen to any song cause you have no internet connection. What has gone wrong? Here we list 2 solutions which fix the issue "Spotify music can not be played on airplane".

Method 1: Play Spotify Music in Airplane Mode with Premium

With Spotify Premium, you are able to create playlists, and save them for offline listening. The "Offline Mode" grants you to download Spotify song, playlist or podcast to mobile phones in advance, then you can listen to Spotify music on plane without needing Wi-Fi or mobile network. Here is how to enable Spotify "Offline Mode" so that you can listen to Spotify music on airplane.

Step 2Hit on "Library" > "Setting" menu --> tap on "Playback" --> switch on "Offline".

Method 2: Play Spotify Music in Airplane Mode without Premium

With Spotify Free, you are able to get access to Spotify catalog of over 70 million tracks on your computer or tablet at no cost. And you are allowed to play any song or playlist with ads, but only when the internet is connected. If you want to play Spotify music in airplane mode to kill time, especially during a long journey, or other conditions without Wi-Fi or cellular connection, you will need to buy Spotify Premium. Otherwise, you can use a third-party app – Sidify Music Converter (Windows | Mac) to download song, playlist or podcast from Spotify to digital copy at first, then transfer the downloaded Spotify music to your mobile phones or MP3 players.

After finishing the customization, now you can feel ready to start downloading any song from Spotify by clicking on "CONVERT" button.

Now, just migrate the downloaded Spotify songs to any device that you will carry on the plane!

If you go to the 'Your Library' tab, then playlists, and click 'Edit', you can click on the the grey arrows so they are green. This will cause the playlist to download onto your phone.

If you would like to download your entire 'Songs' playlist, navigate to it and at the top there's a swtich you can turn on to make the playlist 'Available Offline'.

I recomend using WiFi to download the songs. All the songs in the playlist you make available offline witll queue up and download over time.

You can set the quality of the audio you download. Higher quality will take longer to download and will take up more space on your phone, but will sound better. To change this, navigate to the in-app Settings and and then 'Streaming Quality'. You can change the setting under 'Download Quality'.

Once downloaded, you can listen to the music without an internet or network connection.

I hope this helps!
