How to move search bar to top of screen iOS 15

During the beta phase of iOS 15, Apple added a new Safari design element that moves the URL and tab interface to the bottom of the screen, a decision that was immediately controversial with iPhone users.

If you can't get on with the address bar living at the bottom of the screen and would prefer to have it in its original position at the top, like it was in iOS 14, follow these steps.

1. Launch Safari on your ‌iPhone‌.
2. Tap the "aA" icon in the left side of the address bar.
3. Tap Show Top Address Bar in the popup menu.

1. Tap the Settings app on your iPhone’s Home screen.
2. Choose Safari from the list.
3. Choose Single Tab under the Tabs section.

Do You Want More Flexibility?

Perhaps you’re not ready to give up using the search bar at the bottom of Safari. And yet, maybe you’d instead not go back and forth between the Settings and Safari apps every time you want to make a change. Your wish is my command!

To move the search bar from the bottom to top:

3. Tap on the icon furthest right on the bottom.
4. Choose a created group at the bottom.
5. Tap Done.

Voice Searches

Another new Safari feature is using your voice to do web searches. To do this:

1. Open Safari on your iPhone.
2. Click into the search bar.
3. Tap the microphone icon.
4. Use your voice to perform a search. From there, Safari will automatically perform a search based on what you said.
