Almost every day, we receive testimonials from our Flex Seal fanatics. They’re always finding new and exciting ways to put our products to the test. In between the experiments and weekend projects, little mistakes can happen. But that’s no big deal. Just keep these few tips in your back pocket in case you accidentally spray Flex Seal somewhere you didn’t intend. Flex Note: When you are removing Flex Seal we do NOT recommend use of a bleach-based solution. *Important: Make sure you read the directions on the back of the acetone, mineral spirits, and toluene bottles. Follow all safety precautions, avoid open fire or flame, and use protective eyewear. Metal Fabric Wood Cars If you get Flex Seal on the inside of your car, like the upholstery, just use the same instructions that are posted in the “fabric” section of this guide. There are many places on a car that you shouldn’t use Flex Seal. For starters, do not use Flex Seal on gas tanks or for automobile tire repair. Carpet Have any questions not answered here? Will rubbing alcohol remove Flex Seal?A: Before it cures, Flex Glue can be cleaned with a dry cloth. If necessary, most residues can be removed with isopropyl alcohol.
How do you remove Flex Seal adhesive?Use pliers to help grab and pull up Flex Tape. Spray directly on adhesive as you pull Flex Tape from the surface. Once Flex Tape has been removed, spray directly on any excess adhesive residue, let stand 10 seconds and wipe with clean cloth. Repeat until area is free of the adhesive.
Will Goo Gone remove Flex Seal?The Flex Seal should come right off! Use Goo Gone: Other commercial adhesive-removal products will work too! Just spray it on the adhesive, let it sit, and wipe it off.
