Hello. I'm wondering if there's a way to extract music and sounds from PS1 roms? I'm trying to obtain all of the music, voices, and sound effects from Spyro the Dragon via emulation (I have PCSX 1.5, but I can get a hold of more emulators if this one can't do it). Is there a way to do this through roms and emulation?

I know that the music can be found on YouTube, but if I manually extract it, it will be in much higher quality. I'm not able to find that many sound effects, and as for the voices, I know there are walkthroughs and cutscene videos on YouTube as well, but they can't be heard without the sound effects and music playing in the background. I need all of the music, voices, and sounds individually, without any of the other playing over each other.

Thanks in advance.

I don't mind if the software is old, as long as it can help me.

I'm quite confused on what exactly I'm supposed to do with the utilities you provided. I downloaded and extracted them all, one didn't seem to contain anything, one was seemingly for CD-ROMs, and the other won't open because "WNASPI32 is missing from my computer," even though I just downloaded, it still won't open because of that. Do you know of any solutions for this?

In the old times, emulators and the like had a dependency with the wnaspi32.dll library to be able to read CD-ROMs at a low level. And some others need zlib1.dll too.
You only need to put the corresponding dll in the same directory as the executable, that's all ...and take into account that these programs used to work correctly in Win98 SE and Win2K / WinXP.
And you also needed another emulator for CD-ROM using * .cue and * .ccd formats. Don't hope that they work with contemporary "roms".

MagicDisc worked fine in such OS's. If these programs don't work in a modern OS, you will have to resort to a VM.

Dude, stop acting like a hussy...

I put the .dll in, and the program opened this time, but not only was it in Spanish, it couldn't load the roms.

By the way, when did I say I was using something that wasn't Win98/WinXP? I'm sure they work better on those systems, you know, I am very experienced with computers/programs and the like.

Also, for the CD-ROM emulator, yeah, I did put the .cue file of the rom into that one, and it still didn't work. I have both the .bin and .cue for the rom, and neither of them worked.

As for the MagicDisc option you provided, when trying to set up/install it, it said that "this app can't run on this PC".

So-o-o sorry

if I act like a "hussy". English isn't my mother tongue in first place.
In the end, you can search that utilities in the web searcher of your preference and use any other CD/DVD emulator you prefer. All they do the same.
Even so, let me warn you. None of them are the panacea, and very likely none of them gonna provide you whatever you pursuit. So review my first comment carefully.

They work for me, at least: https://imgur.com/a/4dzlz

Yeah...

Well, don't be so negative. I'll see if I can try to decrypt how to use that program. Like I said, it being in Spanish is difficult to deal with.

They work for you, as in you've been able to extract music/sounds/voices from using that program before? If that's the case, then there's no reason it shouldn't be able to work for me, too.

Negative? me? I'm not negative, I'm plainly realistic.
And don't need to decrypt anything (except my meanings / what I want convey), you can download the English version in the URL mentioned above.
I have provided my own binaries because they are the ones that I can guarantee that they really work, and you're going to need the DLLs anyway, just that.

That depends on the game, specifically. PSMplay works very good on Resident Evil 3 for example.
"Some" games don't follow the guidelines set by Sony (almost all the good ones). Such games aren't going to give good results because they ignore the standards in every way.
Combining their own fashioned dev tools and not conventional programming styles that squeezed the full potential of the PSX to the last drop.
Some used just CGI in all, literally. Some "implement" their own "z-buffer". Some used their own compression algorithm. Some used "pixel art" in place of textures / sprites. Some crazy ones even designed their own "hardware acceleration" or "hardware decompression" for music / sound and graphics. Etc.

I vaticinate that in such games, these tools will not work at all.

Your realism is negative... >_>

I'll see about the English one, then. You hadn't mentioned it before, so I wasn't aware of it.

Okay, that makes sense. There's no harm in trying anyway, though. There's no point in saying "no point". Wait, what?

Why, that is a very interesting article you provided. I'll give it a look.

How do I extract audio from PS4?

Plug the PS4 into the audio extractor with the first HDMI cable. This cable goes in the "HDMI" slot that's on the left side of the back of the PS4 while you're facing it, and the "Audio In" HDMI port on the extractor. Plug the audio extractor into the TV with the second HDMI cable.
