You're not really supposed to lose water unless you wanna die of dehydration, it's more of a cycle, some days you'll have more water weight and some days less. Drinking water is good for you. Many possible causes exist for retaining water, including too much salt, sugar, dehydration, too much alcohol, dieting . Among other tips, if you are concerned about water weight, make an effort to drink more plain water. While it seems like the opposite of what you need to do, drinking 8 to 10 glasses per day will help flush sodium and excess fluid from your system. A well-hydrated body is healthier and is less likely to retain water. For real weight loss, you must gradually reduce calorie intake to a healthy level, with a balance of carbohydrates, healthy fats and proteins.u don't gain if you stay hydrated and healthy! You consumed 16fl oz of water, which isn't the same as its weight. The relationship between weight and volume varies. Water may be standard but things like milk and whatnot will vary. Also something to bear in mind a lot of people on here are talking about weight and water and temperature it’s rubbish. The number of moles = mass / Molar mass. Unless you change moles or molar mass you can’t change the weight. You can change density but that is distribution of the weight not actually changing it. And also temperature doesn’t actually change weight it just alters it’s density so one part is lighter than the other. React Like Helpful Funny Disagree Reply Anonymous (30-35) +1 y As other people are saying, you would weigh one pound heavier on a scale, but you would lose it through sweat/urine/etc. This is what I don't understand about a lot of weight loss programs-losing a couple of pounds can be as easy as weighing yourself before and after a meal. React Like Helpful Funny Disagree Reply Benedek38 Follow Xper 7 Age: 26 , mho 31% +1 y If you drink excess water, your body will get rid of it through urine. In fact, make sure to drink lots of water - it's healthy. React Like Helpful Funny Disagree Reply RachelStark51105 Follow Xper 1 Age: 36 +1 y I gain almost 5 lbs in a day because of the amount of water I drink. I don't drink alcohol and I try and stay away from high sodium foods. When I weigh myself in the morning, my weight is back to normal. Drinking water is extremely healthy for you! Drink up buttercup! You actually lose weight the more water you drink long term!😊 React Like Helpful Funny Disagree Reply kheserthorpe Follow Master Age: 47 , mho 46% +1 y You will weigh more until you piss/sweat it out. React Like Helpful Funny Disagree Reply Anonymous (25-29) +1 y yes but that's just water weight you will lose it anyway from sweating etc.. what matter is you lose the BODY FAT that's the goal and if you go to the gym regularly chances are you can also gain some weight if you are building your muscles so don't really rely on the weighing scale React Like Helpful Funny Disagree Reply Alexias Follow Yoda Age: 28 , mho 31% +1 y 454 opinions shared on Other topic.Yes but you should lose it from sweating, peeing etc. React Like Helpful Funny Disagree Reply Anonymous (30-35) +1 y Temporarily. My weight can fluctuate up to 8lbs in a day, but if I weigh in the morning after bodily functions and before food or drink, it's consistent. React Like Helpful Funny Disagree Reply Anonymous (25-29) +1 y Isn't it a question of mass instead? If you drank 16 ounces of molasses you would weigh more than if you drank 16 ounces of water.
