Is Amos Bow good for Physical Fischl

Okay so there is a higher theoretical maximum on Amos, in a vacuum, also support wise and regarding Oz, or hybrid build Amos makes a strong case due to raw base and ATK%. The problem is you just don't want to have to constantly force distance stacks that depend on range. If you can forget that Fischl herself likely won't be doing maximum damage (but only if max distance away), instead consistent damage, think of her supports which majority of time cannot have the range she has, none of them want the burden of her being forced to play around Amos passive at long range to make it work. Importantly if you are maximizing for said passive the bow itself actually starts missing so far as ranged autos are concerned.

I'll happily keep linking this until dust to dust.https://youtu.be/PyBPrpN41bM

  3. Amos Bow or Stringless for support Fischl?

This poll is now closed.

So my pity with my free Acquaint Fates netted me an Amos Bow. -_- Just before, I got two Fischls in the same 10-roll on the standard banner, so now it's too much of a risk to roll on the character banner.

This is after I just pulled a Stringless which I know is best in slot for a 4* bow, but I'm not sure how the calculations work out. Does the higher base attack on Amos Bow outweigh or at least match the damage boost from Stringless? Amos Bow with its higher attack would also help her lightning smite, I think, but I haven't confirmed it yet.

For reference, both weapons are R1 and my Fischl is C3.

Amos beats out Stringless at same refinement from higher stats, even with the passive.

Here's a Sub DPS Guide from the Fischl main discord: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1EI5u3BmfmqNIlbaSe-ePG0_8w9FxNkcG4VJSsAJgjU4/edit#gid=0

Amos does nothing for support Fischl. It would be trash tier imho.

Electro reactions don't benefit from base attack or atk %. The bonus base damage is not going to overshadow a % boost to her skill damage and her skill damage and subsequent elemental reactions will provide 90%+ of her total team contribution. Both of which Stringless boosts far more than Amos.

Amos, it's just simple math.

Amos, but pass it off and use Stringless if you have another archer. (Ganyu?)

Only the exceptions can be exceptional.

The only other Archer I have is Amber lol, and Diona who is glued to Sacrificial Bow. I don't plan to pull for Ganyu.

Comments here say Amos but the poll heavily favours Stringless, yikes.

Mine uses Amos, but only because I don’t yet have a Stringless :’(

It depends. If you are running a team comp. where you feel confident that you can make sure Oz is the triggering side of reactions, NEARLY always, then the EM on Stringless can help and you will get a lot out of it.

However, I've always felt that EM is not a great stat on Fischl, because with Oz spamming attacks it is often hard to keep her on the triggering side of overload reactions etc. I think I run around 300 on her and that's it, even as support she's geared for ATK/Crit for me, and Oz spams 4K crits like a machine @ level 80.

Don't underestimate the amount of damage that Amos will add to her skill, ult, and Oz spam simply through the incredible amount of more attack that it has compared to Stringless. There are videos on Youtube of people comparing the two bows and either one can come out on top depending on the situation and team comp.

No he's okay. He just kicked ass on Double Dragon.

I seriously wonder if people suggesting and voting for Amos aren't reading closely and think this is a dps Fischl. If not I would love to hear how it is better for support.

As Support Fischl:
You will never normal or charged attack so amos passive provides 0% contribution to damage.

You will keep your skill up 100% of the time so that's +24% dmg from Stringless vs +98 base attack +50% base attack from Amos. There's no way that +50% base attack out performs a +24% skill damage.

Your elemental reactions will get 70% more damage from stringless vs 0% more damage from Amos bow.

Really the only place amos can even compete with stringless is in her burst, but if you run your fischl like me you hit burst on the closest group then switch to a different character before it even finishes just to get Oz out actually close to the enemies you're fighting and not have fischl die.

edit: my numbers for comparison are based on max level R1 weapons
btw, I would totally agree that Amos is better for a DPS fischl

Literally the 2nd post in the thread contains a link to the math. By an entire discord full of people who exclusively play Fischl both main and support.

You may think there's 'no way' base attack and attack % outdo the passive, but it does.

  3. Amos Bow or Stringless for support Fischl?

Is Amos bow good for Fischl?

The top-tier bow for Fischl in Genshin Impact is either Amos' Bow or the Skyward Harp, however. Before working up to that one, though, the Compound Bow is a great all-rounder. Any number of these bows, though, could help with the destroy all dummies quest.

Who is the Amos bow good for?

Amos' Bow is an excellent option for DPS Ganyu, as her DPS build will focus on her charged attacks. With a base attack of 46 and a 10.8% improvement to attack damage as a secondary stat, Amos' Bow is already beneficial for her build.

Is Amos bow still good?

Is Amos' Bow a good weapon in Genshin Impact? It's a great weapon, but the right characters to draw out its potential have yet to be added to Genshin Impact. Most five-star bow characters like Venti and Tartaglia aren't suited for the damage-centric gameplay required for Amos' Bow.

What characters can use Amos bow?

Amos' Bow is a five-star weapon that can actually be pulled at any time using the weapon banner or standard banner. It is a bit hard to get through, as several different five-star weapons can be pulled at a time..
Ganyu..
Childe..
Amber..
Yoimiya..

Is Amos bow good for DPS?

The Amos Bow is excellent for Main DPS characters since it increases their Normal Attack and Charged Attack DMG.

How does the Amos bow work?

The description for Amos' Bow's effect was changed. Old description: Increases Normal Attack and Aimed Shot DMG by 12%. Increases DMG by 8% for every 0.1s that an arrow is in flight. Stacks up to 5 times on each arrow.
