How to Get Grafted Blade Greatsword Elden Ring

First off, we need to get to Castle Morne, as this is where the boss is holding our sword. There will be one or two minor challenges along the way, the first being a caravan you’ll want to avoid, and the second is a bridge with a pretty devastating ballista on it. You can sprint on the torrent, and you’ll be fine. Once you cross the bridge, there will be a site of grace on the right immediately after this bridge, which acts as a nice checkpoint run through the next area of enemies, and you will come to another site of grace on the left. Get this as a checkpoint as well, then through the gap in the wall, avoid the giant archer by running down the right side, and when you get behind it, you will be at Castle Morne.

Castle Morne

Get the site of grace; of course, you will now have to run through Castle Morne to the next site of grace checkpoint. When you come up the lift, we recommend taking out the dogs first, then running behind the pumpkin head and getting the drop on the enemy. You can then heal up before you go up the ladder. Head over the wall once you’re on top while dodging the enemies and drop down to the next sight of grace.

From here, you want to drop down and run across the wall, drop down again on the left, onto the roof and follow the cliffs. After that, you can drop down the beams and quickly roll out of the door as there are rats. After rolling out of the door, you will find the final sight of grace checkpoints to your left. Now, all you have to do is run straight to the boss of Castle Morne, who is holding the Grafted Blade Greatsword.

The boss is not that difficult to beat or the hardest, but it gives you the slightest bit of trouble. You at least have a sight of grace right outside its boss gate so that you can come back later. We recommend that you use the Lone Wolf Ashes to keep the boss busy and then melt them away with your sorcery. You will get the legendary Grafted Blade Greatsword when the boss is defeated.

How to use Grafted Blade Greatsword

The sword is a great weapon for strength build. These swords are not called Ultra Great Swords anymore, as it turns out, and it has pretty insane base stats. At the base level, it had the same damage as the three lord swans greatswords which is pretty awesome. The only problem with the sword is that it requires the Strength of 40 to wield it, but don’t worry, if you have 50 less of the Strength you actually need, you can two-hand it. The problem with two-handing colossal swords is that they can be quite vertical when attacking. This can be useful when trying to aim higher, but generally, when dealing with numerous enemies, it can be quite a hassle. So, we recommend that you one-hand the sword and then attack with horizontal swipes along with light attacks, which are incredible for clearing out packs of enemies in a clean manner. For that, you will still need to get 40 Strength because that’s very important. But, you can two-hand it, and it is still very strong.

Requirements & Abilities

The Grafted Blade Greatsword requires heavy point investment into Strength, so it is something that you will want to aim for with a Strength starting class. For instance, the Hero or Vagabond or other classes can work too. The weapon is literally overpowered, and it can also be used as a shield which will allow it to block quite a bit of incoming damage.

The Sword has an Oath of Vengeance skill that significantly increases both the Stamina and Health bar. It gives you a really solid chunk of extra health and extra stamina, which is quite helpful when you’re swinging the sword and rolling around in a boss fight.

Upgrading The Grafted Blade Greatsword Elden Ring

Now, to upgrade this sword, you are not able to use the regular weapon smith stone. Unfortunately, you need somber smith stones, which come from various sources. You’re going to find quite a few of them during some of the boss fights and certain areas in the opening section of the game. We recommend that you keep upgrading the weapon as soon as you get the chance.

You can follow the main quest and get exploring in the lake area. Now, obviously, leveling Endurance will increase your weight limit, but there’s another way to increase it. You can get the Talisman just like the Old Havel’s ring; the Arsenal Charm will raise your maximum equipment load in the same way. During Stormville Castle, you’ll find Nephili, just before the main boss. To find her, you just need to turn around from the main boss area before going in and then running past the big giant. She will ask to join you for the boss fight even if you don’t summon her or have her help you. She will still appear at the round table after you kill the boss. Afterward, you will have to speak with her at the round table in order to receive your Arsenal Charm, which will really help with how heavy the sword is.
