I know, I was more talking in the sense of how it marketed and presented itself. Bringing back the old cast, referencing old scenes, tying up a lot of the storylines.

I went in expecting nothing since the last one was soooo bad, but with this one I was actually entertained throughout the whole film, and I did not even feel the 2 and a half hour runtime. I saw it in 3D and the 3D was actually pretty stellar, better than Multiverse of madness. The cgi was convincing, the movie looked good, and the performances between the whole cast (especially the original 3) was commendable. I'm surprised to even say this but I found this more entertaining than top gun. Forget about the haters, this was a fun ride. It's a solid B movie.

so u are saying a story supposedly about dinosaurs taking over the world, but actually about giant flaming inscects bringing the end of the world with stupid side plots, and a disappointing final battle that happens for no good reason and is disappointing with the giga literally being underpowered and doing normal dino stuff is better than a mid movie with a clear understandable plot, a villain dino thats actually a threat and being mostly about dinosaurs?

The characters do stupid shit like go back to rescue a baby raptor.

They didn't address that that teen girl kind of fucked up the ecosystem.

GMOs actually prevent famines. No one talks about that.

Yeah they kind of glossed over the whole ecological disaster Maisie caused by releasing dinosaurs. It was reduced to a set piece at the beginning of the movie and honestly we were back at the guy having a free range jurassic park where dinosaurs exist and a black market for them. The most we came to dinosaurs being out and about was when they were in the square in Malta and that guy on a scooter was eaten. Otherwise the ending to Fallen Kingdom never was really explored or used to full effect.

ikr, i wanted to see how the dinos interacted with the environment, not how giant insects destroy the world. also i hate how in the ending the dinosuars just randonly start getting along

Jurassic World Dominion has a lot more problems than being simply an action movie. The narrative is a total mess. The movie is more about bugs than Dinosaurs. The acting is wooden, the dialogue is bad and at best its a mediocre movie if you're being nice [its pretty bad]

If all you care about is Dinosaurs, this movie will disappoint you in that regard too

i really liked the jurassic world series only bc they make the dinosaurs look so good, and this was SOOOOO disappointing, like not even a proper t rex battle??? the final battle sucked

Highly unlikely. They’re calling it the end of the era, but that means this particular story. They make a billion dollars a movie. They won’t walk away until they have a major flop. Reviews don’t matter, money does. It doesn’t matter if it has a 0% on rotten tomatoes, I’d it makes $1B they’ll keep making more.

What the movies are highly depends on the ending of Dominion. There’s a lot of speculation that Kayla and Ramsay will be the new faces of the franchise. They could do side, unrelated 1 off films. Or despite what Frank Marshall said, they could do a live action tv show.

It may not be in the next 2-3 years, but there’s no way they let the franchise die unless it is a total flop. And based on preorder ticket sales, it’s well on its way to being the most successful of the 3 World films.
