Its AMAZING

I think it is not for young kids cause jack Sparrow is not the best role modal but anyone who knows not to pretend to be drunk can watch and it is really fun and funny with good plots, villains, heroes, and swashbuckling.

Family action & adventure

This is an action adventure movie for the family. It was the first time my kids got a glimpse of an anti-hero. They began to see how captain Jack Sparrow flip flops on what is right and wrong and that characters, like regular people, can be flawed. As long as you talk to your kids about what is happening in the movie, the drinking and pirate behaviors are not too extreme.

Jesusless

This movie needs more Jesus. Not enough Jesus.

by far the best Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom movie!

this was the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie I watched and I didn't mind it, but after watching it a couple of times I caught a lot more and found it a lot more humorous, I wouldn't recommend it for kids under the age of 12 but it's up to you, gets violent scary and mildly disturbing at some scenes but never shows anything to graphic, the bad guys are cursed to be skeletons so it shows them in that form a lot through the movie, there's some sexual references but doesn't show anything, it's funny and action-packed, so if your kids are ok with that, go right ahead, definitely worth the watch.

This is the best of the series

Very entertaining movie, love Johnny Depp's character Jack! It feels like a grand pirate adventure, and I can watch it over and over and never tire of this movie. The 2nd one is great too! These movies are safe for kids to watch.

Spooky and Suggestive, but Safe

I would call this a pretty mild PG-13. It will probably be too spooky for an early elementary school child. There are scenes of ghouls and skeletons taking over ships and terrorizing people. There are battle scenes where people die. It is mostly A-Team style explosions that send people flying, but there are some scenes where people are killed in cold blood. None of it seems gratuitous though. It is not the sort of thing that I suspect would whittle away at one's value of human life, unlike the other movies in the series which cross that line big time. There are also several scenes that are sexually suggestive. For example, Jack Sparrow tears off Elizabeth Swan's corset to allow her to breath and save her life. An onlooker says "I didn't know you could do that", and Sparrow replies "you've clearly never been to Singapore." A 7-year-old would have no idea what that means. But if they ask about it, you'll have to answer somehow. After reviewing this movie over the weekend, I'll be letting my 8-year-old watch, but not my 6-year-old. It's just too spooky for her yet.

Surprisingly Good

I did not expect this movie to be as good as it was. It has surprisingly good acting and a decent plot too. I guess I just didn't think a Disney movie could be so non-childish. This movie is mature enough to entertain older viewers as well as young ones. I would definitely recommend it.

Best pirate movie ever!

This is the best pirate movie ever, and the series is some of the funniest movies I've ever seen. There is some violence but nothing else. And nothing to worry about.

Can my 6 year old watch Pirates of the Caribbean?

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides is an adventure fantasy movie targeting an audience from adolescent children upwards. Many scenes are too violent and scary for children under 12.

Is Pirates of the Caribbean 1 kid friendly?

The movie is not especially graphic but does feature things like an undead pirate crew that may be disturbing to some kids. There are revealing bodices and mild sexual references (not explicit and showing no nudity or sexual situations).

Is Pirates of the Caribbean OK for kids to watch?

We would recommend this movie for children aged 8 and over depending on the sensibilities of the particular child.
